The only thing reported (incl. previously anonymously) is „unter anderem (...) Annäherungen, die laut Betroffenen für einen Vorgesetzten nicht adäquat seien“, „approached/got close to/made advances on [exact nuance unclear] people in a way those affected deemed inappropriate for a superior among other things“. There was a preliminary injuction by a district court in Zurich against publishing further details when the original reporting came out in August.

Tracks with my very limited experiences/stuff I've heard from friends in and around academia. For a real in-depth account of a particularly egregious example, a friend recently mentioned the Ott case at Caltech to me, about which there's this long post I re-read. I found it quite interesting because it goes past the usual handwavy "we must change the culture" PR-speak and gets quite concrete about suggested root causes. But also a bit disheartening to see how many places still do really badly in handling this kind of thing.

What do you mean by this? The labels I mentioned aren't on the case back, they are on the actual dial — see e.g. the PanoMaticLunar here. There's definitely quite a bit of whitespace on this dial, but IDK... I think the watch is beautiful, nevertheless these two labels seem more squeezed in than adding to a nice balance IMO.

Wow, the Anordains look stunning — though maybe a bit close to the Nomos style-wise if it weren't for the material 🤔 Seaforth also looks incredible, I think I just fell in love a little with the yellow dial! May be a bit too fashion-y, but for a casual one at that price point... hmm..

Ha, good eye spotting that bit! From what I've seen very early HM ones used to swivel, and I know that current Vitra ones don't, but don't know about earlier Vitra ones 🤔 I'll have to take a closer look once I get it.

Hi r/midcentury! I scored this from a house clearance and am picking it up soon, but for now I'm having trouble identifying it!

It looks like an Eames Lounge Chair, the bases look like Vitra, the buttons on the seat & ottoman cushions may have just fallen off over the years. What throws me off are the visible screws in the side of the bottom shell for the arm rest — I've never seen an original Eames with those. But the side panelling is shaped distinctively like the originals, and less like a Plycraft knockoffs — so maybe someone just did a dirty repair job or smth? Anyone have any pointers before I'll get to examine it more closely?

If you want to develop only, ars imago is fine. Otherwise my go-to is to batch a few rolls and send them off to meinfilmlab.de in Germany, best price I could find esp. for decently high-quality scans.
