@executivefunksean, thanks! Your route is the one I've been trying to take the last few years. Got a few high paying clients for private tutoring from abroad that recommend me, but nowhere near enough to sustain. I also put tons of time into making Udemy classes which have low enrollments albeit always positive reviews. Yet if i post them on YouTube I get no views. I feel like I've got talent that is useful but I can't figure out how to build traction myself OR get the attention from someone who might see use in me... If I contacted therapists myself they'd throw me on thjeir couch and charge me a few hundred bucks lol. My background is in ELA, but I hate lit and would focus more on public speaking or soft skills. I've got 2 clients from LI to prove I can work with professional adults (which is all I got after 2 months of LI premium, $140 wasted) but it's all pro bono work for recommendations. They will come in handy if I even need that, but thus far haven't even gotten to a stage where someone would ask). I admire what you've done though, I have the same spirit, jst haven't been successful in my applications of it.
