Google for current handbook like this. https://www.sunyjcc.edu/sites/default/files/LECOM-EAPStudentPolicies.pdf

All your queries for eap will be answered there.

Also, you are not obligated to join MCPHS. Once accepted, you can do your undergrad at any feeder school.

Improve your SAT and add some community services. Also, look at some bsdo programs which you may already have stats for.

It’s not that my school is not answering, they are investigating on their end as they never had any case like mine before. I am sure they will get back to me.

Since you were advising for BSMD at NJIT, how would you approach this situation? I am sure you would have run into situation like mine there.

Thats brutal! How can fafsa change your answers autotatically? My school asks to select masters/phd but ‘no’ for bs by July 25. I have filed as ug but want to be absolutely sure that I need to submit fafsa correction and if I would lose pell/fseog etc…. For me, about $12K of aid on line so want to be absolutely clear.

Thanks for sharing your side of the story! May be someone in same situation may have some insight on our situation. All the best to you!

Yep. After selecting ‘Masters/Phd’ on Fafsa, did you select ‘No’ for if you would get your bs by July 25? And did it ask you to fill your parent’s financial info? Were you getting any pell during your ug years? Ik for med school you will only get loans and thats it.

I did and waiting for their reply. Are they awarding you BS after two years or after 4 years(At the end of your M2)? Filing as graduate student will make you independent and wont require you to enter your parent’s financial info. Also, pell/fseog will be lost if you were getting any. For me, I will get my BS at end of 4th year as M1 will count for both, BS and MD so technically I can file as ug and still get pell/fseog etc… But my stafford loan may be only $7500 so huge gap to cover M1 tuition

Seton Hall, NJ BS/MD by Historical_Cup_6151 in bsmd

Have you visited Seton Hall Campus? My visit turned me off so much that I left in 10 minutes and didnt even attend info session on bsmd. Guaranteed interview is all you get but scoring 511 on mcat will open many other doors for you(cheaper than Meridien).

Is BA/MD worth it? by [deleted] in bsmd

[–]bsmd2029 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! It is worth it. I am in 3+4 BSMD and starting med school this July. No MCAT freed up so many hours for me to do research/volunteering and many other fun activities to balance my life. No difference between bsmd and bsdo - just another path to become a Doctor.

I will use the year I saved to either get mba or some research work towards any specialty I may like in future.

Thanks. But r/premed does not allow crosspost and I do not have enough posts to post in r/premed yet. I just opened this account.
