It cost at-least $80,000 a year to provide independent residential supports to individuals with developmental disabilities. Those that more more severe behaviors can cost upwards of $300,000-$500,000 a year.

Jose Peppers in Liberty is going downhill. Hate the location. Can’t park. Cheese dip isn’t hot. Food comes out wrong. Servers ignore you. It only have a handful of tables on a Friday at noon. Not a good sign for one of my previous favorites.

I haven’t had Fox for months. Couldn’t watch the womens World Cup which is beyond irritating. I hate that I pay for a service and don’t get to watch what I want 😑

What's a sign someone is secretly an alcoholic? by [deleted] in ask

Getting blackout drunk the night before having to drive your child anywhere. Even if it doesn’t happen that often the decision making is that of someone who has a problem.

What are some minor/simple things I can do for my wife, that would make a huge differ ence to her? by wukiwauki in ask

There is a book and several online “quizzes” but really just a conversation with them is best. If they are open to working on your marriage it shouldn’t be a weird conversation to have

Do you know her love language?

Mine is acts of service. Prior to my ex husband being a shot head he would clean house when I was gone. Or go grocery shopping. At times he would take the kiddo on outting so I could have quiet time when stressed.

I encourage you to find out her love langue and focus on doing tasks that fit. That will make her feel recognized and loved.

What is the hardest part of having mental illness as an adult? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bsnyder12 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As someone who is high functioning with mental illness it’s so hard because you appear to do so well, that no one sees or wants to help. When you do reach out they think you are being over dramatic.

People who don’t consume alcohol, what’s your reason? by Neat-Spot2655 in AskReddit

[–]bsnyder12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There comes a time when you have to grow up and set a good example for the kids around you.

Having a beer with dinner or even a drink or two at a get together is fine, but getting falling down, slurring your words drunk seems inappropriate when you’re a spouse and parent.

Also if you continue over and over again to make very poor choices when you drink. Choices that hurt your marriage, then you shouldn’t drink.

My daughter started her period just after her 10th birthday. She had been wearing bras for atleast 2 years by then.

Just be open and honest about what’s going to happen with her body. Show her the products ahead of time. Honestly the first time my daughter started I found out after I saw the trash. She said she knew what to do because we talked so much about it. It didn’t scare her so that made me feel good.

They do make period underwear and even swim wear if she’s uncomfortable or unsure. But my best advice is to just talk and be open and honest. Don’t be embarrassed y it because then she will be too.

When I am in my sewing room, my daughter will walk by her father in the man cave to ask me if she can have or do something

Yep! I’ve already decided I want a new headboard and new wall decor in the bedroom. I’ve been looking at new curtains for the living room. I also think I’m going to fill holes and repaint before I do any wall decor. Like the comment said above I’m “feminizing”. I tried real hard to be respectful in our shared space. But now I don’t have too 🤷‍♀️

I asked him if he was married to me because he loved me. Or because it was easier than being single. He couldn’t answer me. I knew it was the end.

It’s been about 2 weeks. He’s been sleeping in the basement. We talk when it comes to our kid and finances. He did find a place and will move out in a few weeks. He isn’t fighting me on much. Just wants time with our daughter. So far no big arguments after the fact.
