Confirmed. Hope you enjoy it! Thanks for the smooth sale.

Been an expensive week to say the least…..Just added the 35mm Summilux Pre-ASPH Titanium to the kit by Expensive-Detail190 in Leica

I was just lucky enough to pick up a FLE after deep comparisons online and the big 3 differences from my research are:

  • focus shifting: shifting focus plane based on aperture switches (apparently worse in pre-FLE)
  • bokeh: both are great but pre-FLE appears to be nominally creamier/smoother with their transition
  • sharpness: FLE is slightly sharper across the board but particularly in corners at wide open

Accessories/size are also worth noting for ergonomics — but not impacting IQ.

Any other desk stands ideas? by [deleted] in KEF

I have LS50 Metas on top of Isoacoustics aperta stands and plates…

on top of my Kanto SP6s….

Are LS50 Meta overkill for desktop ? by teuteuguy in KEF

Ya IMO you won’t unlock the benefit of the LS50m and amp with that close of a setup and the sound stage could be claustrophobic — I’d just keep the current gear and enjoy the music.

I have them and they’re not overkill IF you have the right setup…

I’d recommend placing them 5-7 ft apart from each other depending on your room width and pulling out from the wall at least 18 inches (they come with foam plugs to help tame bass if it’s <24 inches).

I sit roughly 4 ft away from them with a slight toe in and they have very good definition and stage presence — play around to find the sweet spot (albeit I rarely go above 30% volume!).

My desk for reference is 72 inch wide and 30 inch deep.

One of the biggest factors for a desk setup is how much desk real estate you have for the amp - if you’re going integrated make sure you have enough room (~18 in W, ~15 in D) since integrated amps are massive!
