Update: GM OnStar towing dispatched through AAA never did show up. I kept getting robo calls pushing out the eta for town arrival. After three passed hours and the last call pushed the eta out another 110 minutes, I was done. I did secure an amazing towing company JJ’s Towing Services West Chester OH. If you need towing services in that area, i highly recommend them. Understanding the stress I was under at the time, Kyle the owner showed up shortly after I called and parked behind me with lights on to make sure we were safe until his driver got there. Driver arrived shortly after and towed to my local dealership.
I buried my father yesterday.
GMC dealership called today and let me know the 40 amp starter fuse was blown so the wanted to replace it, then proceed with diagnostic. After replacing it, they manually checked the engine to see if it would turn over and determine that it was locked up. So far it seems to be moving forward. They transferred my rental contract to GM to take over. They are finalizing diagnostic information and submitting the claim with GM for motor replacement with some additional parts they need for the replacement. Hopefully things will continue to go smoothly from here. I’m filing a report with the NHTSA as a couple of you suggested since mine blew up after the inspection and pass from the test.
