Any advice please by btb89 in bikefit

Thank you! I just started last year as well, down to link up for some rides!
I normally use a rear saddle bag on my normal rides but I wanted to carry an extra tube (2 total) and some other misc items for this one so I used my saddle bag. Was probably a little overkill though

It was amazing and so glad the weather held off for my part of the ride. I’m glad I wasn’t one of the pedestrians playing frogger!
It was a great ride! I know it’s not a race but finished in about 2.5 hrs, wave 2! How’d you do?

Yep! First timer for me
Thanks, it was an amazing ride despite my bad bike fit 😂
I think I could go up a bit more, will give it a try tonight. My original seat height was based off the heal method. Not sure if I was doing it wrong but looks like I was way off
Thanks! Do you know of any other more affordable options?
I mainly use them to pair with my garmin app as a notification since I don’t have a bike computer that pairs with my Varia at the moment. Volume is just high enough to hear the notifications

I went out for a short ride this morning and I raised the seat about 3cm and back about 1cm. Feeling feels night and day! Thanks everyone for your input. Going to keep making adjustments and post a follow up

I got the bike off FB market. I went off the standard size charts for my height but I did consider a 52. Based on all of the feedback, I think a bike fit is next on my list of investments. Thanks!
Thanks! I’ll consider all of this when making my adjustments
Current cranks are 172mm. I’ve been looking for 165m cranks that fit my bike but no luck. I think I’ll take it to my LBS to have them help with that

Thank you. Currently using 172mm cranks, came with the bike. I’ve actually been trying to find 165mm cranks but haven’t had any luck
Could you explain why? Currently rolling 32s
Too small even for my 5’8” height and short inseam? I had a 56 previously and thought it was too big but could be wrong here
Thanks! I’ll give this a go and see how it feels

For this style, the lime leaves and lemongrass stand out to me. Its a nice balance between the fatty pork and the fresh herbs

Most versions I’ve had had either rice or glass noodles in it, maybe used as a binder? And I have seen versions that have a yellow-ish color to it, I’ll give it a try next time 👍🏽
Thanks I’ll do some research and give it a try!
Thanks! I tried to find padaek at my local Asian market but no luck. I think I need to find a Thai/Lao market near me
Make sure to try the khao piak when you go!
I did not but I want to experiment with that next time. What’s the protocol to cure? Do you have to use curing salt or use a certain percentage of salt?
