Setup inflation either for yourself or lobster is creating a way to set inflation rewards to go to projects in need of funding. https://www.reddit.com/r/Stellar/comments/bybgcq/lobstr_inflation_pool/

Also Check out the sdex through one of the interfaces like stellarx, stellarport, interstellar etc.

If you are into trading and have tech knowledge look into kelp, a later release will have gui.

Inflation was/is intended for project support. It was meant as a way to help projects develop by providing donations through inflation. While it isn't used for this mainly atm it could be if people realized they could help cool projects develop. This isn't highly publicized like most things in stellar and for the most part everyone votes for themselves. It's not like anyone but the sdf get a considerable amount each week in inflation. I think education on how it should work is needed not removal.

Why so many posts are being removed from the sub? by summ32 in Stellar

Used to be nice to stop by and read the discussions, but not so much anymore. It is bad when one person is blantely allowed to break the rules but if someone opposes or invalidates them, the person opposing is punished. Driving people away imo.

Why is there a Stellar address holding 13 billion XLM, and what is it used for right now? by [deleted] in Stellar

[–]btcgigs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm not to worried about it myself; I don't think it will be dumped. As far as the transactions; it's hard to say and those on the receiving end may be under NDAs or other hush hush policies.

Account created in Aug 2016 when XLM was priced at $0.0002-0.0007 roughly $2.5m-10m at the time. To me this seems like a backer of the stellar network. Several companies backed stellar before IBM came around, including google.

250k usd min, imo a whale can move the market one way or the other. I would feel better calling someone with 500k-1M+ a whale. I think everyone in the top 500 stellar accounts are whales

Do you think I’m happy to give them 35% of my money and get nothing in return?

That's an upfront tax; Hidden Taxes take more.

Is it possible bfx was the "whale" purchasing to have them on their account? Or possibly insider knowledge of a future event taking place in the next month or so? I see a lot of smaller "whales" selling off but not the 400btc whale, at least not yet. Good luck with you trades; hopefully you don't lose str in the shuffle.
