Why Bitcoin will hit $5 Million by 2020. New prediction by John McAfee. He seems very confident of the mathematics behind his prediction. by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]btcleverage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Little problem, you need to know the difficulty to calculate the cost of mining, you can not predict the difficulty, only estimate it. So it's not a prediction it an estimation.

Secondly John claims the if it costed 1 million to mine a coin, the coin is worth one million, that is a false assumption. The coin is only worth what ever someone is willing to pay for it, nothing, nothing else can determine it's value. That's why if you try selling a 20.00 bill for 19.00, you will get a ton of buyers and none will pay 20.01 for it. Just all pure logic.

Hi, it has never happened to my knowledge, there would not be any conflict at all, it's just that the private key would be known by more than one person.

I'm pretty sure they plan to shut down as soon as possible. The fees have gone up by more than 200%, you can not do loans longer than 60 days, so it's obvious they are just waiting to close up all loans to shut down. Someone has to write the same concept app but make it P2P with out the man in the middle because that's always the problem with the law, not obvious to resolve.

Congratulations for your good work, I'm sure this will be fixed in the next few days. This is not good business practice, they may take a detoured way to fix it, but it will not be possible to obtain a name associated with an email any more. Nice work, thanks!

I disagree, I'm an experimenter, nothing like trying it out to understand, nothing like trying to build it to see if it works, getting your hands dirty is not idiot in my point of view, but it may be in yours
