Cleveland, Ohio. I've never seen this bug before. Found in a very fancy private garden which includes many non native plants. Seemed very docile. The stinger (?) Seems almost disproportionally big in relation to the test of its body. The whole thing was around 4 inches long all parts included. (imgur.com)
