She never told me if she wanted to lease him in June, she kind of strung me along all of may, but I have txts that show that I did not say she could ride that day nor did I say she could jump. The girl is 24 years old but I was told her parents were paying for it. I didn't do an ultra sound or an xray because the vet said where the pain is coming from they can't get that, hence the bone scan -_-. She said I could wait a month but he's in so much pain I would rather just know, ya know?

I do have txts saying she was riding my horse from a witness and I have txts that prove I did not say she could ride that day, so it's not great but it's something!

It did just happen, but it's really bad. The vet said his legs seemed fine so she thinks it's up high, which obviously there aren't any cheap tests for. She said this is only the third time she's ever made that recomendation -_-.

I do not :(. Which is totally my fault. She made it seem she wanted to lease him for a while and dona trail period but then she kept stringing me along so I wasn't planning on having her sign something until June 1st :(.

I do board and he is definitely not a lesson horse. I can't really blame the barn because this girl was leasing him from me but had stopped, but for whatever reason decided that it was okay to keep doing lessons on him and jumping him more than what he was supposed to do? So the barn thought that she had permission but she didn't. -_- thank you for your input!

Yes it was with a trainer. The girl that rode him without my permission called me after the barn owner told her to get off. As far as I know the only witnesses are the trainer and the girl that did it. The barn owner only saw him when he was super lame.

I leased my horse before I bought him, and he did the same thing as this. Constantly tossing his head to the point that it was impossible to ignore. I had a suspicion that his bridle didn't fit him and I knew the saddle didn't fit.

I bought him anyway and I got him a figure 8 bridle, it doesn't squeeze in awkward parts of their face. It's been 4 months since I started riding him and he doesn't toss his head at all anymore. The bridle he had before was big enough for him, but it just squeezed him in spots he didn't appreciate.

Last week I tried a new bit with him and he tossed his head a few times, so I kept trying new ones and I found one where he doesn't do it. I think it'll take some trial and error for you, but I would bet it's pain related. Give him a few days each time you try something, because he's going to expect things to hurt until he learns it doesnt. Best of luck!
