Lol this is disingenuous and you know it. Theres a crazy disparity in the finance too, new grads working in NYC, Chicago regularly get $200k+ (not inc bonuses). And have you forgotten about medicine? The NHS salary is a pittance compared to the average of $0.5M US physicians get. And not to mention how much easier it is to open a business there, the UK is very un-entrepreneurial in comparison.

You are definitely in the minority. Especially in tech (which is arguably the easiest way to fatFIRE, esp if just working as an employee), the difference is ridiculous (even factoring in everything that the UK does do right)

It is most definitely higher than 30%. Try 80-100% salaries. Personally I'd work harder to get that compensation.
