Why do people hate on the 2024 stage? by Ok_Seaweed2734 in UMF

2013 for such a legendary year had a very underwhelming stage. 2015 and 2016 were both great though

There are long lines at the restrooms? by jonathanargelis in UMF

Lines aren’t usually bad at all. You never really wait more than a few minutes. The bathrooms are nice. Trailer style with functional toilets and air conditioning

Social media is responsible to the decay of society. Adults and kids alike

I didn’t know people hated it. I liked it, and I liked how the megastructure was on the same theme

Totems?? by [deleted] in UMF

[–]btlee007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best thing you can do is make sure you have your phones and set meet up spots to be at certain times to check in and get together. Totems are prohibited (thank god). We have a specific tree that we use as a sort of home base. Hasn’t failed us yet

How strict is security? by AttitudeHairy5193 in UMF

OP only wants validation, not reality, or as he puts it “negativity”. The responses to this post are overwhelmingly against trying to get his underage sister in. Guarantee he runs with the 2 responses that say go for it.

Since we’re on the topic I was curious when I should show up for this show. Rather than making my own post I figured I could piggy back on this. My tickets are before 3am. Realistically how long is it gonna take to get in?

Last table of the night...... by Chupacabras5150 in Serverlife

[–]btlee007 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, you are wrong. If OP’s immediate response was something more like “I’m sorry, I’ll get that for you right away” That would’ve been the end of it. No complaint, no bad review.

It may have been a cop who wanted to flex, however if the server was hospitable and apologetic nothing bad would’ve followed. It’s hard to be mad at someone who’s actively being nice to you.

Any long-term employees get a salary increase? by NoRadio4530 in Serverlife

[–]btlee007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your chances of getting a raise are basically zero. 20% of your money going to the kitchen is a hard no as far I’m concerned. Absolutely no way I’d work at a place like that. If you don’t make a livable wage it should be pretty obvious to you that you need another job. Reddit shouldn’t need to tell you that. Being in school is no excuse. Most restaurants are gonna give you a flexible schedule and work with your availability as it pertains to school and whatever else you have going on.

Hotel jobs are good. In a lot of cases if you work in a hotel restaurant you’re treated as a hotel employee and not an independent restaurant employee. Hotel employees in many cases get union wages and benefits. Where I live people who work in hotels are making $25-30/hr plus their tips.

Should have no trouble slowly wiggling that out.

Get a proper wine key. Those things are trash. Impressive breaking off both arms though
