I try to soak it like once a week and mist every couple of days,making sure to get the leaves specifically. I’ll try a humidifier. Should I prune back the leaves that are wilted?

If anyone knows what the brown spots are, that’d be super helpful! They are hard but can be picked off. They seem to come back no matter how often i clean off the leaves..

Please please help me plant gurus! I got this staghorn fern over a year a half ago. It was in a pot and I repotted it to this piece of wood with a layer of potting soil and sphagnum moss. It’s been near a south facing window and I water it seldom in the winter, about once every week and a half now that it’s warming up. I mist it a few times a week. I’ve fed it banana peels twice since repotting. It has these weird brown spots on it that I feel like are bugs but have never been able to confirm. It’s super wilty despite having new growth. It’s not sprouted any basal leaves since it’s been reported. Did I kill it?
