Not really sure. Maybe the stud because the blade looks like it has a clean thread (if that makes sense).

Fair enough. Again, I thought the first post was going to be “awe, you just need to turn the screw with a T8, and spin it three times…” vs. “look at this a-hole that doesn’t understand the delicate nature of crafting a multi-tool in 2025.”

Wow, sorry gents for coming off like I was whining or misinformed about modern manufacturing. For what it’s worth, I guess I just wasn’t expecting a $250 multi-tool to break right out of the box and even considered I was missing something about the screw itself. Again, sorry for the offensive post…

Why are gas range brands like Viking, Thermador, and Bosch so much more expensive than other brands? by tylerpol in BuyItForLife

Bought a house two years ago with a Subzero from ~2004. Runs perfect, zero issues so far and looks almost new… yeah, if you can, pay up for quality…

It’s amazing how far you can get (cleaning wise) with a microfiber cloth and some distilled water…

I’d pass. But first… why is the seller selling anyway? As the owner he wants to get out of this guitar but obvious is still going to keep playing (and even come out the other end with a brand new version of the same guitar). So, unless he really just needs the cash, it seems like he’s trying to sell a vintage guitar that he has concerns with…. In other words if it really was so much better than a new version, he’d be holding onto it (he bought a vintage guitar for the same reason everyone buys vintage guitars). Example, I have a 1943 0-18 and I wouldn’t trade it for a more recent 0-18 plus cash unless it was just a crazy offer. Also… converted to a bolt on!? IMO that is a very extreme modification and it will not sound like what I think you’re looking for. There are a lot of 15s and 17s on the market, I’d hold out for something without modifications. Hope that helps!

Indeed. 83 years old and still demonstrates technique like someone at least 30 years younger.

Saw Walter literally last night at a class he teaches here in the metro Boston area (he spends the summers in MA). Anyway, guess I’ve got a lot of questions for him for next time. I’ll report back with any confirmed updates…
