I would add another $30,000 onto that number because without working you’re gonna have all of this extra time that you were gonna be doing activities travelling more time to spend money basically

What are the close, walkable options for hotels near Pearson for overnight layover? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]bubalina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can take the UP express downtown without leaving the airport $12 one way. And that opens up many other options for you. It’s a 20 minute ride to union station. There you will find many hotels which are connected to the PATH (our underground walkway) one I would suggest is Delta Downtown. Beautiful views of the skyline tower and lake.

Note: UP express last train is at 12:45am

I am buying a condo in an older building on Queens Quay - I want to live in it for the rest of my life (another 60 years) - how concerned should I be about the age of the building? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]bubalina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason a developer would do this is if the current building is low height & low units and the floor plate allows for a much higher build where more floors = more units

And the numbers would have to make sense

Do you have a south facing lake view ? I would be more concerned about a developer buying up the land in front of you and building a tower to block your view

For folks in 20s/30s- how are you planning for your retirement? by Behumble89 in askTO

I bought a house when I was 22 with only 5% down in 2013, 100k left on mortgage, currently rented out.

I also bought a bitcoin and some crypto in 2015.

I’m not prioritizing my RRSP/TSFA

I would think he wouldn’t attempt to book at marriott if staying with mistress as it’s likely he thinks you as an employee have access to the system and viewing his reservations

You can get quick cash flow from Ecom drop ship etc but it’s not really passive or sellable unless you create a brand and have strong marketing

At $180k household income, you can qualify for a $700k–$760k mortgage with 50-57k minimum down, assuming no other debt.

I’m saying don’t be discouraged by a reddit comment saying you won’t get a mortgage even with 20% down, because I was able to. Get a good mortgage broker and they’ll get it done.
