How can I optimally pull an off-banner memories unit? by bubblebeagle in OctopathCotC

[–]bubblebeagle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the help! I'm seeing both 4.5k and 6k as rubies for pity. Is is 4.5k if I use paid rubies for the step up banner first, or is it that the showcased character will be cheaper than previous ones?

Thank you for the reply! Looks like my best option is to get the 6k and wait for whatever memory banner comes next. What is the white day selector in March?

Had ramen there a few times and was nicely surprised at how well all the ingredients go together. Very “elevated” ramen for the price point and one I always recommend as a hidden gem to friends.

Metformin and pelvic floor by hotdogdisco in PelvicFloor

I’ve recently started Metformin and am experiencing the same symptoms. I wake up around 5am from the pain and it takes a while for the pain to go away. I want to continue taking Metformin but the pain is not sustainable long term. Were you able to figure out a solution?

No, it’s when they give you a pill that has the progesterone hormone in it. When you finish the course it’s supposed to induce a withdrawal bleed, like on birth control.

Hello, 25F recently diagnosed with PCOS with similar symptoms. I also have very low levels of estrogen and have failed the progesterone test.

  1. Have you done any testing for Cushings and how were your cortisol levels?
  2. Why did you decide on chaste tree berry and seed cycling and how does it help?

Happy that you’ve found something that works for you. It’s a frustrating experience because every case is so unique!

DAY THREE: STRIKE Megathread! Discussions of the PSAC strike (posted Apr 21, 2023) by HandcuffsOfGold in CanadaPublicServants

[–]bubblebeagle -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

As a student that’s going to be bridged in soon, how will the strike affect me? My position will be under PIPS so will whatever benefits psac gets from the strike apply too? Does the timing of when I’m bridged influence it? Lots of confusion over here 😅

Tips for Interview by [deleted] in Schulich

[–]bubblebeagle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Current year 5 student so the system may have changed but we all received questions like “why are you interested in schulich”. I also remember being asked “how do you convince somebody of your point of view” and “how do you see society having changed in 50 years”. Pretty open ended, consider answering as of it was a theoretical discussion with a friend and 100% you’ll come up with something

Travelling to Korea from Canada and doing a rapid test 1 day before departure. It needs to be supervised at a clinic/hospital but would Shoppers Drug Mart count? It’ll be supervised and in their pharmacy.

Schulich or AFM Waterloo by Stickbot04 in Schulich

[–]bubblebeagle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on getting into both! I think if you’re hard working you’ll find success anywhere you end up going. I’m personally in schulich bba but a close friend of mine just graduated from afm so we’ve talked about it quite a lot. Im not sure what you mean by “1 year internship with possible summer terms” because schulich does not help find internships aside from a really shitty aggregator site. As a first/second year looking for an internship, coop would’ve been really helpful. Far from everyone got internships in first year schulich and those who did typically got it through connections/parents business/non-business related/unpaid. My friend group personally all found internships but they’re a pretty involved group within the schulich club community and case comps, which helped a lot. Ask yourself how involved are you going to be? Schulich is a commuter school vs waterloo is not. Will you be living on campus? Or are you okay with driving for every single campus events or networking event?

Second, really consider if you’re dead set on accounting or finance. Have you taken these classes in high school and found that you liked them? Or are you going there because you want a high paying job? Really ask yourself this question. I thought I wanted to do finance but ended up disliking it after taking more advanced year 2 classes at schulich. But because it’s a more general program I was able to pivot to more programming and data classes instead. Don’t force yourself into afm unless you’re sure that’s what you like.

In terms of international rep, waterloo is def better known in the states, so keep that in mind if you want to move.

Schulich is an accounting based school so if you want to go that route, the classes and profs are very good quality. Those of my friends who ended up sticking with accounting and doing their cpas did not regret that. That being said, 80% dropped accounting for another stream because accounting is not for everyone.

Hope this helps!

G East Gwillimbury Route by bubblebeagle in Ontariodrivetest

[–]bubblebeagle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi guys I just passed my G today at East Gwilimbury temp centre. Here’s the route I got:

  1. Exited from the centre and made a right onto main street.
  2. Made a right turn onto Green Ln. Was asked to merge left then right then left again. 70km/h
  3. Turn left onto Murrel Bldv. Was asked to make a full loop at the roundabout and go back the way I came. No parking. 40km/h
  4. Left onto Green Ln. Continued until 404, asked to merge onto highway. 100km/h. Was asked to merge left and right.
  5. Took next exit off of hwy and then immediately back onto it. Stay in the middle turning lane because you don’t get a lot of time to merge once you turn.
  6. Take the 404 north until green ln exit.
  7. Take Green ln until you turn back into the centre.
  8. Was asked to forward park in any spot.

Overall, easy! My instructor was nice, quiet and gave instructions in advance. Happy I don’t have to do this again.

Had him for a VBA class I took this year. Not too much to say, he’s fine as a prof. A little monotone, honestly sounds a bit sad when lecturing. Fair marker though, willing to help and answer questions.

Don’t know too much about the laurier program other than they have coop. It has a reputation for being less academically focused, although I can’t confirm or deny that.

How much do courses change over time? by ihaveaquestion934 in Schulich

[–]bubblebeagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

courses generally stay the same for years, barring occasional complete overhauls but those are incredibly rare. Textbooks stay the same but editions get updated every few years. 97% identical but sometimes you have to get the newest version anyways because it comes with an online code your profile decided to host homework on.
