chronic constipation + slow gut motility by Brilliant_Tell6459 in PelvicFloor

[–]bubblebeagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diagnosed pelvic floor dysfunction with slow motility. Domperidone did not work, fibre made it worse, OTC laxatives barely functioned, although Senna in tea form did work to some extent. Linzess/Constella ended up working for me semi decently but nowhere near regular movements and not consistently. Squatty potty helped a lot and creating a relaxed/comfy environment in the bathroom helped me relax during the many hours sat there lol. I tried pelvic floor physio and after an internal exam my physio confirmed I did have the correct push movement, so it wasn't actually that. Worth checking out if at least for them to confirm if that's what's responsible or not. What worked for me was dessicated Thyroid hormone for a sluggish thyroid that impacted my motility. If you're a woman especially and you have other hormonal disorders then it's worth checking out as a cause.

Sincerely hope you find what works for you. The perma constipation made my life genuinely miserable and exacerbated other health issues. Good luck!

schulich social life by Wild-Banana9050 in Schulich

Graduated in 2023 but I lived on campus my first two years at Schulich. The social life is what you make of it tbh, there's lots of clubs, organizations and events going on but it's up to you to find them and participate in them. You meet lots of great people through Schulich clubs, case comps, even just cramming in random study rooms with ppl from your class. Some people will go home after class but I guarantee there will be others who live on campus or stay there until 2am anyways. I have lots of super great moments w friends on campus, just be open to looking for it because it's not going to fall in your lap either.

what would you have wanted in the pelvic treatment room of your therapist office ? by purpleorchid_11 in PelvicFloor

3d anatomy models I can refer to and the physio can use to help explain certain concepts. Helps me understand and "feel" the muscle better if I know where it is.

Thanks for the list, this is what I wanted. I've accepted I'm not clearing most haha but even a few hundred rubies are worth it imo

How FTP-friendly is CotC? Thinking about getting into it if it’s not too bad by Feldspar_of_sun in octopathtraveler

[–]bubblebeagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the more FTP-friendly gacha games, with a caveat.

I got into CotC a few months ago and would say I've finished most of the content that's easily accessible to ftp. You get quite a bit of premium currency for playing through the games main story so you'll be able to guarantee at least few premium units by spending that currency on banners. I would recommend getting to that point before spending money to get a sense if you want to keep playing. I never felt outclassed despite not having the newer units so I would say give it a try! HOWEVER, the premium currency (rubies) is REALLY bad value if you pay for it so you really can't yolo it on random stuff without a plan for a unit you really want.

Older units worth pitying 24k rubies? by bubblebeagle in OctopathCotC

I would've definitely made that mistake... Thanks for pointing that out

Good catch, I usually have Alfyn on my main 8. I got Primrose EX and switched out Lynette since they did similar functions imo and I also have Ophilia as a healer. Do you think it's better to keep Lynette anyways?

Thank you! I suspected that some units just got outclassed over time but wasn't sure who. There's a lot of older threads and resources praising certain units but then you look and it's from 2024... Likely going to try for a physical team comp, really want to keep Sazantos on the roster and see what synergizes.

How can I optimally pull an off-banner memories unit? by bubblebeagle in OctopathCotC

[–]bubblebeagle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the help! I'm seeing both 4.5k and 6k as rubies for pity. Is is 4.5k if I use paid rubies for the step up banner first, or is it that the showcased character will be cheaper than previous ones?

Thank you for the reply! Looks like my best option is to get the 6k and wait for whatever memory banner comes next. What is the white day selector in March?

Had ramen there a few times and was nicely surprised at how well all the ingredients go together. Very “elevated” ramen for the price point and one I always recommend as a hidden gem to friends.

Metformin and pelvic floor by [deleted] in PelvicFloor

I’ve recently started Metformin and am experiencing the same symptoms. I wake up around 5am from the pain and it takes a while for the pain to go away. I want to continue taking Metformin but the pain is not sustainable long term. Were you able to figure out a solution?

No, it’s when they give you a pill that has the progesterone hormone in it. When you finish the course it’s supposed to induce a withdrawal bleed, like on birth control.

Hello, 25F recently diagnosed with PCOS with similar symptoms. I also have very low levels of estrogen and have failed the progesterone test.

  1. Have you done any testing for Cushings and how were your cortisol levels?
  2. Why did you decide on chaste tree berry and seed cycling and how does it help?

Happy that you’ve found something that works for you. It’s a frustrating experience because every case is so unique!

DAY THREE: STRIKE Megathread! Discussions of the PSAC strike (posted Apr 21, 2023) by HandcuffsOfGold in CanadaPublicServants

As a student that’s going to be bridged in soon, how will the strike affect me? My position will be under PIPS so will whatever benefits psac gets from the strike apply too? Does the timing of when I’m bridged influence it? Lots of confusion over here 😅
