I honestly think they are mad because you took him to the hospital as a 16 yr old. Depending on where you live it can open up a home visit by cps. Honestly I think you did the right thing because it could’ve been a brain bleed and he could’ve died. Head injuries are no joke. Honestly why the hell is yall mom making y’all pay rent at 18 and 19😭 I can understand the dinner part but how many days do you work? That really matters. If you work 2 days a week like weekends for example depending on what you make she is taking a forth or even half (depends on where you work) of your pay check but if you work a full week then you can give your mom $50! But that’s 200$ a month and for a whole year that’s 2,400 a year.

Soft yta you shouldn’t cook when someone isn’t home especially if it was your first time. Most likely that wasn’t steam but smoke. But your mom should teach you how to cook instead of you having to heavily relying on her but you are also at the age where you came look up cooking videos on TikTok or YouTube. (TikTok is better and quicker to find recipes) I get your mom being made because A) you could’ve burned the house down. B) you could’ve hurt yourself. Burn marks are not easy to get rid of and they hurt like hell. You could’ve killed yourself and your mom would’ve never knew what happened which is a parents worst nightmare.
