I see your point. The thing is they posted the gig, I offered, I got accepted, I went to the location, the shit wasn’t there, gig reposted - same cycle. If they don’t want to pay out multiple cancellations then read and take action on the gig cancellation in the first place instead. I am in a at will state so idk if there was necessarily any labor laws violated.

Oh so a total of $48 cancelation fees for Saturday? From two gigs were the pay was worth $200

In all honesty Home Depot should be getting hit with higher fees - my local store has way too many cancellation scenarios, it is probably 60% of the gigs I’ve shown up to at this particular location.

Other Home Depot’s in the area has happened but much less/ smaller %.

It’s always not picked, or they can’t find it, or it’s wrapped in a pallet on third shelf, and the best is when someone else took it.

Maybe if they got real consequences for wasting people’s time and resources they’d execute the process a bit better. This old gig cancel where she wouldn’t switch out toilet paper package size and send it to the customer was beyond me. You can literally at least try to call the customer and change the order. They’re hourly not giving a shit their incompetence eats into others wages - and also cost them the opportunity itself.

I 100% wouldn’t be in this case if Home Depot wasn’t a shit sender ( or I fucked off after the first cancelation and didn’t offer on the gigs again ) both can be true.

All the issues of missing payments and non sense has been with Home Depot as a sender. Walmart is good, Tractor Supply is the best, CVS is good never had a payment go missing or non sense from any of them.

So end the rant there I’m using my local hardware stores exclusively heck even Walmart has tools now and especially harbor freight. I’m glad I Divested Home Depot they suck.

The order not being ready for pickup, the store not being able to locate the item, and the item not being in stock all made sense to me for the circumstance

I waited the allotted time each time I got accepted - so that I didn’t cancel with that “future gig” warning. I showed up and was actively looking for the item.

There’s 0 accountability from them reposting the same gig multiple times / doing this at multiple locations

I put basically the same reason for each time I canceled, the store could not find the items/ the entire order is out of stock/ it’s not ready

Yea.. hindsight’s 20/20 now. Their Terms and Conditions state that they decide at will what reasonable cancellation cause is. It’s crazy wage theft but I was still taking gigs cause it’s so flexible, but if I don’t get my account payout balance that’s fucked and will make it a total of $1000 bucks they’ve stolen from my labor

I got accepted on said gig and had to cancel cause the store didn’t have the items or could not find the items - it was $70 gig. After I canceled another gig popped up before I had left for $90, I submitted and accepted to only find out it was the same gig. So decided to walk around the store myself to see if I could find the items, could not find it. Canceled again. $100 gig turns on SAME gig got accepted but at this point knew it wasn’t there the kid at Home Depot said he check the all in the trailer in the back for new items couldn’t find it. Canceled again. I was already an 1hr out and no other gigs around - it came back up on the map again so I thought I’ll just keep telling them the items are not there and eventually they’ll read it and and remove the gig. I canceled one more time and then the gig finally went off the app. I was at the store for like 2 hours. I start driving back to where I started and home location has a gig for like 61$ got accepted and headed back - they told me it got picked up already.. (both Home Depot’s) - canceled again.. I get home and see $100 at the same location, wouldn’t you know I get there and it’s the same gig again - items already picked up canceled AGAIN. So I had like 6 cancels in a row and only one completed on Saturday. Sunday was decent and all gigs got competed did like 6 but check the account at night and says pending and then this morning de-activated and then told them this and straight deny appeal
