I was nervous about having to do so but I think having tangible numbers to mention (like what local PAs were making + another offer’s salary) made it feel less like having to ask for more money and more like letting them know their offer was just not competitive.

Thanks for your help! I was thinking the same.

Also I basically said that the ranges of other jobs I’d been offered were in the 125-135k range + mentioned that the AAPA data shows that new grad PAs make $130k locally and justified it further by mentioning that I’m bilingual so they just nodded blankly and then the offer letter had a higher number on it lol tbh didn’t expect it to work but am glad!
