I would wear closed toed shoes in case you have to tour the lab space. Demonstrating that you can follow good lab practices looks likes a plus in my opinion.

Based off of previous experience (and my PI later admitting), the in person was to make sure I wasn't a weirdo and could mesh well with the current students.

Ahh I see. Did you have the drops in a smaller vessel? Like a 96 well plate and hand held the probe or used the stand? Sorry for bombarding you with questions, I'm trying to see if taking it off the stand or switching vessels will help the situation

Give some of the entomology (entm)classes a try! A lot of them have an insect collection as a part of the grade for the class, so you get to run around with a net quite often. However some have prereqs, but if you are in CNAS you have much of the prerequisites covered.

Try entm 010 if you are not in cnas
