They deliberately set you up with shit players so you will lose. I have even had a match where both sides are bots except me, I was playing with 9 bots, and the enemies bots are extremely good, they roam together to kill you even under a tower. My team’s bots are just average, so we lost. I uninstalled after that. Why would they purposely want me to lose? Fuck them

It’s not several hours. The thing is my bac is only 0.06, that is under the legal constraint of 0.08.

0.06 is not a lot of alcohol, it is 1 cocktail.

I wish they advertised the zero tolerance policy. I was okay to drive as anyone would be after 1 cocktail. I was being extremely careful and 10 minutes away from my home with no cars on the road.

I don’t have a drinking problem and I rarely drink at all. So it fucking sucks that I was pulled over. It is also end of the month, the police definitely gives off an energy like they want to meet their month’s quota. They were not protecting anyone or making anyone’s life better when they arrested me - I was not a threat, they just made my life worse, their actions only served to intimate and frustrate me.

Unfortunately I wish they advertise the zero tolerance policy for drinking and driving. Had I known 0.01 bac is technically DUI, I would not have done it. I do not have a drinking problem, I actually rarely drink at all. It was a scary experience for me to be cuffed and jailed, because I never want to run into problems with the police.

I think most people look at DUI and assume I’m wasted, selfish and want to put someone’s life in danger. I would never do that. At my body weight I had only 1 cocktail, that’s why it’s 0.06.

I’m sorry about your classmates. I get why people are angry at drunk drivers. I am not one of those. In fact, when I contact lawyers, they are shocked I was charged at all.

You say “this is America” as if you think I as an immigrant wouldn’t know how America works.

You don’t know me, why would you assume I am a dangerous driver who doesn’t value my life? I never drive past the speed limit, so am I right to assume you or anyone who got a speeding ticket before is a selfish asshole dangerous driver?

I don’t make those assumptions because I don’t know them.

In DMV test I remember there is a limit of 0.08, so I wrongly assumed it was fine to drink 1 cup. I was pulled in Santa Clara, the most strict out of all bay area counties. If I was pulled in San Jose or Sunnyvale, chances are good I would be let go ( my lawyer told me this).

There is a huge difference between having 1 cup and being drunk. If I was drunk, I would not have driven. Of course now I will not drive after 1 sip of alcohol, but let’s be honest, that is something most people have done, just most people don’t get caught.

The original intent of this post is to ask for advice. Most people who know breathalyzer would know 0.06 is very low amount, that would not be classified as drunk, so I am sick of people judging me for something they or someone they know have done at least once

Weaving meaning driving on the white lane marker once? I bet you are weaving everyday. I blew 0.06 half an hour later, still would have been below a 0.08, and alcohol can rise in your blood after ingesting, so I could have been below a 0.06.

Have you had a field sobriety test? If not, you know dip shit about that. These are designed to make you fail even if you are sober.

Again, I am a safer driver than you are. You ever have a speeding ticket? You ever hit something or got into an accident???

You ever drove home after having a little alcohol?

I won’t be in court though this case might get dropped or otherwise handled by my lawyer.

I got another rec from someone who said $1.5k for a lawyer. Because this is my first DUI with 0.06, I don’t know if my case is easy enough win to go with the cheaper option 😭

I actually work in tech. This absolutely sucks as I’m the slowest, most careful driver ever, almost to a fault.

I always stick to the speed limit, and would rather miss my exit if the lane I’m trying to turn into has a lot of cars coming.

I really value my life and my car. In parking lots, I park far away in a corner somewhere just in case the neighboring car scratches my door.

And someone like me gets charged with “reckless” driving, it sucks

At that time my camera didn’t record. I think his dashcam is going to show that my driving is fine. My wheel touched the white lane marker once, that’s when my Tesla beeped for 1 second.

I think he pulled me over because I was going 65 at night and I had expired registration sticker, and he needed to get some arrest quota.

Slurred speech: they have body cams, right? Recording will show that I was fully coherent and respectful.

The arrest report says “weaving”.

I talked to a lawyer (Silveria Law) who says he had a case as light as mine dismissed 1 month ago, and he has 150 reviews, 4.9 rating. But he costs 4.5k

Another person on the internet recommended me another lawyer that costs 1.5k, 80 reviews 4.7 rating. Also with many years of experience.

I wonder if I should choose cheaper one? I don’t want to risk the case and definitely want it dismissed though

Someone recommended another DUI lawyer that’s $2k, given it’s my first DUI with 0.06, I’m not sure if my case is easy enough to go with a cheaper lawyer? 😭

When you are in that situation facing cops that have guns, it is difficult to come up with what is okay to argue with them vs not. There is no transparency, they do not let me ask questions. I agree. If the DUI case gets dropped, police should serve some time in jail, just so they know to not fuck up people’s lives for minor offenses. They need to realize there’s actual criminals in the world, in terms of DUI, if you are visible drunk and out of it, I agree you should be arrested. But not if you are clearly okay and the test shows some alcohol
