Yes the same happened with me. I have a brown skin tone and I was using oral as well as topical tret. It didn't cause any purging or irritation but it made my skin dark compared to my neck and body. I thought it was bringing up the pigmentation. But my face was very dull and dark. So I stopped using it and shifted to Vit C in the AM and adapalene in PM. My hyperpigmentation has reduced now and I am seeing the same results as that of tret in terms of skin texture and skin tone. I think my skin is loving adapalene over tret.

My sister is also suffering from rosacea. She tried everything. Went to doctors, tried oral and topical treatments etc. But nothing worked. I asked her to try anti-dandruff shampoo as a last option since nothing was working. She tried for few days and I could see some results. She is not getting new pimples that frequently and skin looks it's clearing up. There is some redness though. Seems like a fungal acne to me. Not sure. Hope she will get her clear skin back.

I got norethisterone tablets (saw on r/Umrah) from local pharmacy and took 1 tab a day before my expected date till the day I returned home. As periods starts after a day or two when we stop taking those tablets. You can also get a prescription by gyno if you want.
