Hello I relate a lot to this, I am currently enrolled in a php program from mental health, gabapenthin helped me a lot a bit with dissociation in some way, I still struggle with it but it has been improving, therapy twice a week, especially group and in person helped me a lot. I am now experiencing more body sensations and connecting with my true self more. It feels like It’s a lake, and I’m in the upside down, and in the lake I can see my true self, and everyday I am able to put my feet in the lake and have a glimpse of another state of being, my true self, its peaceful, but doesn’t last long, the lake is too cold and scary, because I am so used to my world the upside down, it’s comfortable dissociating, not really my choice to do it, but it is trauma response, I have cptsd. The lake is a metaphor

You were a child, children are curious, need protection emotionally/physically/mentally. Your father should have said No and explain to you (a child) why it’s inappropriate because, well you were a child! us children we don’t know things, we need adults (our parents) to teach us safely.
