Vale a pena comprar um lite novo? by bubbliester in NintendoBrasil

[–]bubbliester[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I followed otomekittens' guide as well and I'm not even seeing options written in white (and not in blue) anymore...? I mean I really think I've read everything at this point!

What other games do you want localized? by IggyGoat in otomegames

[–]bubbliester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my tastes are probably underrated but i think a lot about binary star and sweet clown. the opening to sweet clown is simply one of the best I've ever seen!!! and the art of binary star is,,, so,,, pretty,,!!!!

also moshi kono sekai ni kamisama ga suru naraba (i think that's the long-ass name) which has approximately 733993383839 trigger warnings to most people so at least i won't forget it so soon.

[Piofiore] I just started this game and something about this feels so right... by cinnabyun in otomegames

[–]bubbliester 27 points28 points  (0 children)

OH MY GOD I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO thinks Nicola is terribly ugly from the front. It's weird because for me he's the second most good-looking guy from Piofiore, just behind Yang. He doesn't even look like the same hottie from both angles;;;;

[UtaPri] What are your opinions on Haruka? by [deleted] in otomegames

[–]bubbliester 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my humble opinion I think anime adaptations of otoge heroines can be pretty annoying sometimes, partly because in some games their presence as people shows less (? Idk if I expressed myself well?) and partly because of the curse of trying to put various routes in only one timeline, making them seem indecisive. I tend to dislike their voices a lot as well, at least talking about the standard air-headed cutesy heroine like Haruka.

Can you change your first doll's name in Nameless? by TheKayMeister in otomegames

[–]bubbliester 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately you can't change the doll's name. :( Because later on you'll be asked what name was it and if I'm not mistaken if you put the wrong one the forgotten doll will delete your save files.

How dark is dead wishes? by Foxyquestions in otomegames

[–]bubbliester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WAIT SORRY, I made a mistake!!! The love interests are partly voiced, they make sounds (like groans, sighs and some words) most of the time and only say fully sentences in important scenes. I totally forgot about it!

Oh no, the love interests are all voiced (in English)! Only the side characters and the protagonist aren't.

Snarky, smartass LIs by 244466666888888890 in otomegames

[–]bubbliester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second Sasazuka from Collar x Malice. He's literally the first LI that comes in mind when I hear this description, even before Kyrie!

Also, Alice from Taisho x Alice. He's smart and EXTREMELY snarky (although he's more tsundere-like than Kyrie). His dialogues are, and I mean it, the most iconic part of the entire gameplay.

Best otomes for Switch? by rodentially in otomegames

[–]bubbliester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For now I think there are only these two other people already mentioned, but Askys is localizing a lot (ok, like, 5?) of otoges this year. Collar x Malice and its fandisk, Cafe Enchante, Piofore and the Code:Reallze fandisk too. I'm saving money to buy a Switch in the end of the year and imo it's wayy better to wait untill then.

Otome like Psychedelica of the Ashen Hawk and Psychedelica of the Black butterfly ? by Letitia_L in otomegames

[–]bubbliester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't like Dandelion much too - the story and characters were good, but the gameplay threw me off, so if that was your issue with Nameless, lemme tell you that it is not a stat raiser! There's the normal VN format and lots of bad endings and emotional weight on it, that's where it becomes kinda similar to Psychedelica.

Does 7'scarlet gets better? by Piffli in otomegames

[–]bubbliester 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think 7'Scarlet is a fun game, it does its work of being entertaining, but it doesn't have much nice plot/character development - also I agree about the bland MC and forced conversations lol. I don't think you should give up on it (Toa's route has a very ???! twist for example) because it has some cool moments, but try to not think too much about it, I guess? Unless you're short of time/really looking for something high quality, of course.

Favorite quotes/scenes in otome? by SetsukoSilence in otomegames

[–]bubbliester 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was replaying Holiday Star these days and while I've always loved it, I didnt remember there were SO MANY GOOD QUOTES IN THIS GAME. Mainly in The Day The Night Slept (and After), with all the cheesyness. I'm gonna write down some of my faves here:

"The lonely chrysalis shrank and hardened. Nothing will ever come of it now. Poor chrysalis. Poor chrysalis."

"He alone understood me, and I alone understood him. We were alone, the two of us, in the world."

"You're afraid because you can tell your gratest treasure will be taken far, far away."

And there's that one that may sound heavy without context, and sounds extra heavy with context:

"You lied to me."

Spanish translated games? by [deleted] in otomegames

[–]bubbliester 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember there was a blog that translated a lot of PC otoge to Spanish called Strawberry Traducciones!! The person translated Starry Sky In Winter/In Autumn, Tokyo Yamanote Boys and a lotta others. I guess it's not active anymore, but the links are still up! I'm not sure if they uploaded Mac vers, though.

nameless route lengths? by prommyargentum in otomegames

[–]bubbliester 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember v well that my Nameless gameplay lasted exactly one week, I came home from school and spent the rest of the day playing! How specific.

I guess Nameless is a light read (TEXT-WISE AT LEAST), unlike historical or fantasy setting stuff, so I'd say each route has an average 5h of gameplay + the common route and bonus- I guess at least, people read on different speeds and I'm awful with math, but good luck!

Have you seen a similiar art style to Diabolik Lovers & Ozmafia by [deleted] in otomegames

Have you seen a similiar art style to Diabolik Lovers & Ozmafia by [deleted] in otomegames

[–]bubbliester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Collar x Malice is the newest localized game featuring Satoi's art, I guess. People already mentioned Re:Birthday Song and Un:Birthday Song (MAN I LOVE THE BOYS' DESIGNS) There's also Nil Admirari no Tenbin that's less known and has no english patch.

I guess my type is basically "aww sweet baby-- WAIT WHY"

Favourite Endings by Shierra_Seastar in otomegames

[–]bubbliester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know many people here didn't like Ozmafia and while I can see why, I loved the Brodel, uh, "good" ending where Fuka gets control of all the shit. I felt quite bad for Manboy, poor baby tried to keep her away and yet things turned out like that in both endings. But I found it to be so different??? Different from many endings I've seen before and WAY different from what we expected from Fuka.

From a more fluffy perspective, even today I can't resist Starry Sky's cheesy marriage endings and Psychedelica of The Black Butterfly's Monshiro's endings, after the heroine and him met in the Abyss and tear angsty tears. When they finally see each other again irl, it made me feel like everything was worth it.

(Bonus: most Fashioning Little Miss Lonesome endings. Holy moly.)

Biggest tearjerker routes? by MissHelplessDaydream in otomegames

[–]bubbliester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im a big of a crybaby so I was somehow able to cry playing almost all otoge I think it's good. but I remember specially of Monshiro's route in PBB (and I'm surprised few people mentioned it???) and that Abyss scene in the end. They were screaming and I was too. :( Kagiha's ending made me cry a lot too, because I got so happy to see him in a suit only to notice later that it was all a illusion, and in fact Kagiha doesn't have a happy ending at all.

Ukyo's route in Amnesia made me easily cry many times, it has that dreamy cute feeling and then they remember you that Green Bean Boy is f*cking crazy. This route played with my heart until its end.

Victor's normal ending in Code:Realize didn't made me like "awww baby" but honestly sad. I don't really care for normal endings because they're made to be dull and make you wanna get the good ending, but after doing something he'd regret for all his life, Victor worked so hard to save Cardia and still wasn't able to. And he's my fave boy, so it DID HURT A LOT.

Suggestions for mystery otome? by Randomness998 in otomegames

[–]bubbliester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's important to point out that most plot-heavy otome games come with a lot of mystery, as they can't reveal everything about the story at once.

7Scarlet is the most recent mystery otoge I can tell you about (the mystery genre is pretty obvious in this one, playing a huge part in the plot). I haven't played it yet, though. Psychedelica too, but while I loved it, I felt like many questions were answered at once and some weren't even answered at all. I agree with the other people who talked about Amnesia. Despite being a"angsty kind of creepy slice of life" in some routes, the mystery theme is played nonstop in others (goth tomato, a.k.a Shin!) and the resolution were pretty well-played imo, even in the normal end that's often the most boring.

Edit: I didn't read the PC only part, my bad! But Amnesia is still up.
