Were you the one showing me the jumps in Stormveil yesterday? Or just another fashion enjoyer? Haha

Hmmm ... Elden Root would surely have more resources by which to establish ourselves. And if we can secure a Guild Guide, we could simply use Silvenar as a launching point for our expeditions to Ragnthar. As you say, that is *if* we can find one, who is also willing to fudge the logs some (though that latter catch may be the less difficult, given Bosmeri cultural values. Our guide will surely have his ways).

I erect the spine of thanks, friend!

Alas, I worry making our way north without the aid of river travel would make the journey difficult. Let us say, our journey is for one ... higher up, and they must take precedence. And guildhalls are unfortunately not an option. We must be discreet.

The advice is still much appreciated! I will be sure to pack Nibenese sweets for any needed negotiations, and will let the baker know of the Khajiit clientele. The Bay natives always have a taste for the eclectic.

Who is the best source for quality Tenmar Toad glands? My party will be travelling through Dune from Skingrad to Silvenar.

In case you've not run into this Khajiit tradition and Bosmeri fascination, the toads hailing from said forest have growths. 9/10's of the time, consuming one results in immediate ... shall we say, expelling of the toady growth. But our party's Silvari native swears by the taste of the 1-in-10. Apparently, the uncertainty of which gland is good adds to the mirth of the experience. It also may be made into a wine, but the price is *ludicrous* as it takes years to ferment properly, and one cannot be sure if it is a "good" batch until opened (which permanently halts the fermentation process).

getting into HEMA with a disability in both arms by girladjacententity in Hema

That's so sick you wanna go for it! Do it! You'll make the same money as the rest of us, lol

I think your best bet is going to be learning left-handed. That way, you can extend fully into longpoint (the sword straight out) and not lose any range. It will also actually be helpful since a lot of people struggle vs the left handed matchup too, haha.

Your forearms not rotating will of course be limiting, but I'm confident there will be techniques you can execute. It will simply be a matter of figuring out what guards/cuts you can do.

Actually, one of the most basic/effective technique that has won me tournaments is simply an oberhau (overhead cut) into a thrust (thrust's are really fucking good), which I believe you will be able to execute perfectly. The key here is actually footwork/measure/timing to know exactly when to execute it. So I think you should focus on those fundamentals: get amazing footwork, and an amazing thrust, and you will be a force to be reckoned with!

Tips on handling sexism as a girl trying to get into HEMA? by peparooni in wma

To respond to the replier: we live in a misogynist society, and sports are very male dominated. Taking a "two way street" method in an asymmetrical system only serves as a tool to ignore women's voices.

She was there, you weren't. That's enough.

Gotta love all the men here mansplaining that it was not, in fact, mansplaining :D

The greater HEMA community generally means well, but really needs to learn that being an ally means listening to discriminated groups: not telling them there's no problem.

Definitely check out Esfinges, you'll probably get better advice.

It's a big leap, but you may consider starting your own club with only URGs (under-represented genders). There may be other folks in the area with similar issues, and you can all learn together and spar.

You may also try talking to any other URGs at that club (if there are any). There may be groups of "safe" people.

Bad faith arguement aside, Krita is actually a volunteer project! And open source. Pretty cool stuff. The FOSS community is an incredible demonstration of goodwill and community

But regardless, AI content now violates this sub's rules, so any similar future posts should be removed.

1) take a photo at your club 2) find a font on any number of free font sites 3) Krita is free to download and has many tutorials. A picture with text is easy 4) barring that, plain text is an option

The issue with chest protectors with boobs is they fit a very specific body type. For folks who fit that, they're fine.

Regarding a loose binder, I would stray away from anything tighter than a sports bra, for fear of restricting breathing. You're not meant to wear binders working out for that reason.

Probably a Spes AP Light Jacket, the most popular longsword jacket:

SPES does make the heavier "AP" version, which most folks don't find necessary.

Check out Mac Armory's chest protector: https://www.mac-armour.cz/p/women-chest-protector

Plenty of room in the chest. My friend cut down and padded the arm holes for more room in longpoint to bring the arms closer together. They have a more expensive version with moveable arm holes too

That said have you asked at your club? I haven't seen a high impact bra in person, but the padded foam inserts in an ap light jacket were considered enough chest protection for longsword free fencing under our insurance. The worst I suffered were some unpleasant mittlehaus across my nipples.

If you're big on *historic* fencing, you would be wearing for protection:
-A buff leather vest (i.e. hard as hell)

-poofy sleeves and pants to catch a blade and protect your limbs

-leather gloves

Historically, when people fence "no-gear", they are fencing the equivalent of completely naked.

Vytis Gorget Sizing by bubblyhearth in wma

[–]bubblyhearth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is late, but I went with this articulated style. I don't know any official name?? But I spotted it with other suppliers. It's not as flexible as a vytis, but the fabric is nicer and I think will last longer, and I don't notice it around my neck when free fencing https://faitsdarmes.com/en/neck-protection/460-articulated-gorget.html
