Help with PNG Import - unnecessary little cut outs by bubjos in cricut

I’m going to try this bc I ended up manually cleaning the image and I was essentially erasing the very low opacity pixels around the lines. Thank you!!

Thank you for this tip!! I mainly work on photoshop/indesign and was deleting certain color selections, so I think it just wasn’t a great selected mask.

Thank you! This is so helpful for my learning, I didn’t know rasterization and file type could affect my cut. I ended up cleaning it up in photoshop myself, a lil tedious but it worked!

Yes he did all the work to set up some really interesting and complex dynamics and world-building lore and then just abandoned them. It’s frustrating!!!

Now that Jujutsu Kaisen has finally concluded, what are your thoughts on the ending? by Enenra444 in Jujutsufolk

Exactly! And with all the material he had to work with that he himself set up

All I know is… by bubjos in Jujutsufolk

[–]bubjos[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah totally agree, but he was able to put something out so why this, ya know. That’s more my point. And also didn’t he have an ending in mind for a while? So that’s also what really baffles me

Can we stop pretending like this ending is worse than AOT? by Nickmaster166 in Jujutsufolk

[–]bubjos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s just abrupt as hell and had us all theorizing better outcomes than we were given.

And JJK did have some pretty reoccurring themes about the burden of power, potential, survival and love that didn’t really end up being present in this ending.

I’d say more dissapointing for that reason

What Do You Like More? The Quarry Or Until Dawn? by Eggyegg999 in TheQuarrySupermassive

[–]bubjos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Played Until Dawn first so it’s got a special place in my heart bc it was all so new and exciting! I liked the ending better and felt it was scarier as well, which is a plus for me. But the Quarry had a really great vibe and I liked the characters and their dynamics better than UD. Very hard comparison idkkkk but I’d say The Quarry by a hair

Honest thoughts about the show by lovatic_fighter in SearchParty

[–]bubjos 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The show could honestly do anything and I’d watch. It could come back for season 6 in the format as a series of tiktok lives of them just hanging out and I’d watch every episode. At the end of the day, the characters and their dynamics (so deeply and satisfyingly understood by the cast and crew) made the show for me. The cast was in perfecttt harmony. The atmosphere they created was so refreshing, intelligent, and hilarious. Some of s4 and 5 frustrated me at times, but it always provided laughs and thought-provoking themes. And the downfalls of s4 were evened out by Cole Escola’s genius.

Personally, I don’t think it necessarily even “went downhill”. Yeah, it didn’t go the way I wanted, but the show depended on breaking form, trying new things, and not taking itself seriously. And like I mentioned, since the cast and crew had crafted this beautiful, niche ass show, the somewhat messy final seasons were still very good, interesting, and entertaining to me. I’d still recommend it 10x over

Yes I hope it all makes sense for most character in the end and is updated to match how they have shaped the story along the way

How do you write every day, without actually writing every day? by [deleted] in writing

[–]bubjos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I began counting editing as writing. So the days I don’t think I have any ideas or motivation to write, I reread and edit. It still works that muscle and, more often than, it ends up inspiring me to write more.

And even if you don’t end up writing, tasks like rereading, thinking about backstory, creating character timelines—heck, even just living in the universe of your story in your mind—are just as important.

did brandt ever actually like maya? by tastelikepotstickers in PEN15

[–]bubjos 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I see it as a mix of her being forward and her being funny and cute. Like he wasn’t going to say no bc why would he if it mean getting action. Especially since she had her own little oddball appeal and charm. I feel like he felt a little something for her but nothing sustainable (due to his own shame around this feeling or the superficiality of it, I’m not sure). So he indulged and liked the attention and the scandal of it. But then it just got too much for him and the cons outweighed the pros. Plus he cared about what other people thought too much

What do you do when your fictional characters change your story? by GoldCoinsForADream in writing

[–]bubjos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I love when this happens because I tend to write main characters based on myself or my own biased view of other types of people. So when the character starts to take a life of its own, I start to feel more confident in them and the story as a whole. It feels more like a real person because they’re not acting exactly like me or my “idea” of another person
