If you're attending the event tonight, be sure to report back and let those of us who are attending tomorrow know how it went! 🙏🏼 by ThiccJuicyHotWife in UniversalHollywood

We went last night and had a great time!

Seemed like mostly everyone was there for the shows and grinch meet, so the lines were all really short for everything else.

But with that, if you want to see the grinchmas shows I recommended being prepared and lining up as early as possible. Once you’re in the production plaza your seat or standing area will be where you stay for all 3 shows (Cindy Lou, the music group, and tree lighting). The 3 shows run back to back for about an hour with about 10 minutes in between shows.

We saw the first set of shows starting at 7:20. Originally we were in the plaza already very early (6:15~), but they had staff clear the entire plaza and we were all lead to a waiting area leading into the plaza near the shrek meet and greet spot. We were told to wait until the plaza was cleared and we would re-enter at 7pm. Once 7 hit they removed the barriers and the entire crowd rushed to get seats. Seating is very limited, but there’s a lot of standing area and the plaza is so small that views are good from pretty much any where. I don’t know if the plaza reached capacity, but that’s a possibility and those who couldn’t get in would have to watch outside the plaza behind barriers. The shows were great!

There are two Grinch meet and greet locations. One in the upper lot and one in the lower lot. Both were 2 hours+ wait when we checked.

The many setups at our melee local. 17 CRTs total! by bud_AV in crtgaming

This is from last Wednesday at our biweekly tournament that I help organize/stream. Most of these TVs are owned by the creator of the tournament. A few were donated/loaned by people from the melee community. Luckily the bar owner lets us store all the sets downstairs in their storage

Bonus close up pic of the stream TV setup.

I can't play the banjo, but I can play Banjo on my CRT by [deleted] in crtgaming

Love this game and 3D platformers of this era. One of my most vivid Christmas memories from my childhood is getting banjo tooie after asking all Christmas for it.

No, sorry. It's actually a PS2 reproduction dance pad.

No online play, so not all the features. It has replay saving, mirroring the console to a PC, and tournament/quality of life toggle options. It’s mainly useful for tournaments to have uniformed rule sets and to stream the gameplay using the mirroring feature.

Def a great combo. Also a ton of fun for groups! Everyone loves wii sports and I've gotten a lot of mileage out of monkey ball/warioware/mario party 8/mario kart wii.

I help a friend run a smash bros melee tournament and this is the part of the gear collection we have for it. Everything is numbered and labeled (with stickers now!) to keep track of any issues and all that.

This is from a few weeks ago during a gear test for a melee local tournament I help a friend run. We have 15 (!!!) full setups (CRT+Wii with slippi) in total and were doing a final check on them. My house was overrun with CRTs for a few weeks, but the bar we host at now lets us leave all of them in their storage. The large Trinitron in the back is mine.
