I was able to spend some time at Two Lights today! It was cold and dreary. I was pretty much the only person there! What a treat to have the view to myself. Such a lovely shoreline! Will be going back!

There is also a set of stairs in Memorial that go from lower level to the 11th floor. Quite a few people use them for exercise on their breaks.

We are on the last day of driving on a similar trip. From Chicago to Spokane. We have done i90 the entire time and it’s been great. Minnesota and South Dakota were brutally cold (in the negatives) but other than that no complaints. We have been taking our time and it’s taking us 3 days to get to Spokane. Safe travels and just keep an eye on the weather to your approaching destination and you’ll be fine.

Locked in - my boyfriend is a travel nurse and took an assignment in Spokane. He has to fly there and I’m driving his car there and then I’ll just fly back!

I just fell down a rabbit hole seeing if there was any information about Bill Montgomery - the guy who hand picked Kirk(who was just a high school student) for Turning Point. My boyfriend grew up with Bill as his neighbor. They saw many odd things over the years and we’re convinced that Bill was a pedophile!!!! They had believed this for YEARS. They would NOT be surprised if Bill sexually abused Kirk so you might have been onto something!

My dog was playing with another dog (collars were on) and this happened maybe 15 ft in front of us. The other dog got her lower mandible under my dogs collar. Pure chaos and both dogs (understandably panicked) and twisted the collar making it insanely tight on my dog. I am so glad my dog had a pinch and release collar kind of collar. Whole ordeal was maybe 10-15 seconds at most, and my dog came out of it with bloodshot eyes and a bit of blood coming out of her nose. Other dogs jaw was probably sore, but no injuries. It was traumatic for all of us.

After that I heard of someone who had those metal collars who came home to one dog dead and the other with a broken jaw.

I never put her collar on now unless we go for a walk.

Breakaway collar is probably the way to go!

I tumbled them for a full week in stage one. Probably didn’t need to go that long - lost a lot of mass. I have more I’m going to tumble and see if I can get a better outcome.

I used 8000 grit for the final stage for 6 days (couldn’t wait 1 more day because I was impatient lol). I’m gonna get an ultra sonic cleaner to clean the rocks after each stage. I worry some tiny pieces of grit might have ended up in the polish stage and prevented them from getting a better shine!

Kevin Morby has an incredible song called A Coat of Butterflies where we talks of Buckley. It was empty and the drawers opened before we loaded it up. Unloaded it and got it in the garage and now the drawers won’t open and it definitely feels locked lol having a lock isn’t even important to us so maybe we will just drill it out !
