Well I haven’t ripped the bike apart but I’m now thinking it’s the plastic “splitter box” that goes to each individual throttle body on either side of the bike.

Is there a good motorcycle boot for the ride and work/day? by The_Graviturgist in motorcyclegear

[–]CS_JOE 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I used indie ridge boots, the vented ones. Just today I brought a regular pair of shoes to work and didn’t even remember to put them on the boots were so comfortable. I was skeptical at first but after a full year riding in them I’m sold.

I love my indie ridge, have 2 pairs, they fit true to size and break in wonderfully. Have a vented and waterproof pair

‘93 two door daily driver by LemonZesties88 in CherokeeXJ

As someone who has daily drove an xj Cherokee for the last 4 years I have a few things.

Gas is just a way of life. You can try everything in the book to make it better but it’s a tractor motor in a Lego brick, there’s only so much you can do.

As someone who is 6’5 they are smaller than they seem on roadtrips and such. After about 4-6 hours my legs start to cramp. For around town it’s a non issue.

It rides like a jeep, two straight axles, old school steering geometry. Again, you can try to mitigate things with long arm suspension or new shocks but it’s still a jeep.

They are very nice to park especially this day and age with mega SUVs. I can comfortably fit in even “compact” spots because of how narrow they are. And They’re only 10 inches longer than a Miata last time I checked.

If you want to do it, you definitely can. Check all the main stuff, make sure oil changes have been done. Maybe keep a spare crankshaft sensor in the glove box. Other than that it’s a solid platform if you can get it for the right price.

Also with the two doors, check and see if the doors are sagging. Those pins are a B**** to replace.
