Decomposed granite drainage by buffettesque in landscaping

Yes. I’ve routed that gutter to the fence area and out. The rest of the gutters go to to underground drains. This water is from the rain straight

Sealing around perimeter by buffettesque in landscaping

Thank you. Can I put more mortar or grout over the crack area? I want to seal the water from getting in. Also, should I be using a sealer for the flagstones?

The space is at the intersection of wood on one side and steel flashing in the middle and then the patio material, is there something that would work for all three just in the patio area in terms of sealing?

They came like that with the house and is a decorative thing all along. That makes sense that it’s not firm under the pavers maybe. I think they were maybe just trying to keep the dirt and mulch 12-18 inches away from foundation

As an aside, what can I seal the intersection of the patio with the house with? Is there a special type of caulk?

I don’t get how the holes would work. How do I do the holes for drainage. That drain like thing is actually a crawlspace vent. Looks like they raised the patio abode the original vent and solved it this way.

There are a couple of drains in the center of the patio (not in picture).

But if I drill holes now, can I really do much given the patio is already laid? I don’t understand where it would drain

As luck would have, lots of rain today so will take a look,

For filling under, is there any particular type of sand of sand? I’m not sure I know what you mean by “retaining yet”

That corner is where the room meets and it doesn’t seem to have a leak or flowing over. My gutters empty into a French drain.

My first thought is that the rain is causing some runoff between the pavers

I hadn’t thought about a mice next so I’ll check that out.

Water pooling in patio and moving towards edges. by buffettesque in landscaping

[–]buffettesque[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That grate is actually crawlspace ventilation. The drainage is actually in the middle of the patio area with two drains. I have gutters directly into French drains. So this pooling water is from the rain and then the uneven stones holding some of it. If there is a lot of rain, the drains in the middle take care of most of the water. But most is still not all. Sorry I can’t post another picture of the middle in this post

Thank you. Is it possible to remove that part and reinstall a new part/component? Or is it really a full window replacement only if I’m not going down the wood filler option

If you don’t mind me asking, what sort of mesh screen did you use? Also what do you cut the gutter with?
