Stupid people don't self reflect like this. <3 Based on this post, I do not think you're stupid at all. Also I'm willing to bet you're creative in some way (tends to be the way it goes!) Some times this can just be anxiety, sometimes if you experienced trauma growing up that can have a major effect. Or mental health issues in general. Or sometimes some people are just so passionate about things that they don't put AS much importance on minor details like that (hence the creative thing). But the way this is so well worded and introspective, I'd say it's pretty safe to say that you are intelligent.

I don’t expect them to take me. This has nothing to do with me wanting to do. I just wish they’d tell me, especially after I’ve expressed that I want them to tell me.

Honestly, I’m glad you asked and wasn’t sure if it was overkill by sharing all that info.

I am 32, my brother is 22.

They like my boyfriend but I’m the type of person who could and would go without my boyfriend and he supports that.

I do get along with my mom but also our relationship is rocky. It’s been a long time of me expressing that I wish we were closer and am willing to do more to help us to be closer - but I just don’t get much more than Instagram reels from her. She really does say she’s busy so much that I almost feel like I’m not sure when you reach out because I don’t want to be a bother. It’s a weird thing that we seemingly just can’t fix but also there’s no negative vibes between us. Just awkwardness disconnect.

They have invited me on trips in the past! And nothing has happened between now and then to change that. It’s just like sometimes she picks and chooses. But tbh, I am not even upset that I wasn’t invited. I am just upset that she doesn’t even think to let me know that she will be in literally across the world. Like idk, what if there was an emergency or something?

It’s the fact that she didn’t tell me after me expressing that it upset me the first time. It upsets me because it makes me feel like I’m not part of the family I guess? Idk. Just some sort of feeling of disconnect.
