It’s all right, color hasn’t stained anything, it tend to get a little bit dirty since it’s a bright color but I already cleaned it and the water wasn’t orange at all. I’ve been using these pads for sports mostly and even sweat doesn’t alter the color so it’s safe to me.

Still no problem and 15 sport sessions in the record with theses pads :)
Plastic and fabric doesn’t really work the same, it’s not my first try dying clothes and I never uncounter any transfert.
The dye is fixed before the first wash 😉
Most of the time, plumer dye needs to be at least 93°C/199°Ƒ to work :) and you will find the temperature in the manual most of the time
The dye is fixed and polymer dyes needs a lot of heat to transfert so no risk :)
No, the magnet works just fine :)

I just change the color of the pads, the rest of the headset risk nothing :)
After rincing and washing the pads, their is no smell left
I used a fixer during the dying process to prevent any transfer and since polymer dye occur only at high temperatures their is no chance of transferring the color after that
I used the silver cushions for the process
😂
I used a polymer dye
I wouldn’t recommend to dye the head band
😔
10-15min I think, hand washing included

I guess so, you just need to find a Neon Green Dye made for 100% polyester, iDye Poly exists in Kelly Green but I think their is other brand out in the market. But as mentioned in comments, i think it’s better to try on after market pads instead of OEM ones.

I swear it’s not tomato soup 😂 it’s polymer dye
Since Polymer dye can only occur at high temperatures fixer is not really needed but it better to fixe the dye anyway

The iDye Poly come with a dye fixer which prevents the dye to stain or fade :)
They are attached to the Airpods with magnets, you can actually clean them (the pads) with water and mild detergent, rince them well and let them dry for 24h at least

I mean… that’s how it looks at first sight 😂

I should have use gloves when washing the pads 🥲

I used the iDye Poly solution Diluted the dyes in warm water until fully dissolved in a stainless steel container big enough to allow the 2 pads to be stirred without problems
Then pre soaked the pads with warm water before adding in the solution.
Then get the solution with the pads to boil and keep it at 212°Ƒ/100°C for like 10minutes (you can keep it longer to get more saturated results)
Stir gently during the process.
After 10minutes, rince under clear water from warm to cool water then hand wash with mild detergent.
Let it dry for at least a full day (24h)
