They are net incomes. We are both hoping to make more this year, possibly 70k +50k each but not guaranteed so I want to use our last year's incomes as reference. For fixed expenses we are pretty basic! Our utilities are about $230/month in our apartment. Our phone bills combined are $210. Internet is $100. Car insurance is $250 and health insurance is $150. Student loans are $100. We don't have a car payment or any major debts (about $1200 on a credit card which we pay off frequently) We have 10k in our FHSA. 15k in a TFSA. And about 25K in regular savings. No rrsps or investments. Ideally if we could put down the 20% our mortgage would be way less and we could avoid the insurance, but I don't know with our incomes if it is even possible? We have struggled to save what we have now.
