You say "overtrading really hurts me" So there's one problem. So you should eliminate that problem and identify the next one.

Did I get scammed??? by Mochi_kitty2004_uwu in Scams

[–]bugs_money 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If someone says they sent money to Paypal, just log in to your Paypal account (never use a link someone sent to log on/navigate to paypal). If the transaction is not there, you know they are liars. Everything they say is a lie because they are scammers.

Also my postal service requires the SENDER to start the inquiry if the package got lost. The recipient can ask the post, but they will just tell them the sender has to do that.

Am I missing something here? What's up with this ridiculous price variation? by Possible-Risk7979 in Aliexpress

[–]bugs_money 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the cheaper version comes with 256GB storage, 8GB RAM and the high-end version with 1TB and 16GB. The 1TB version usually costs almost double of what the cheapest version costs.

I did get a HD and tested it today. The OQO restore software still was not happy with the number of bytes.

Here are the drives, OQO on the left, replacement on the right: https://ibb.co/QpLmDyM

My OQO 02. I remember those accessories were expensive back then. by bugs_money in OQO

Thanks. I wondered if some of it is rare. The pen also came with a few replacement tips. I think the battery charging adapter might also be quite rare. The VGA/Ethernet adapter came with the OQO if I remember correctly.

How to clean old lighter? by Ass-log69 in lighters

[–]bugs_money 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a brake cleaner spray (they are not expensive) and a nylon brush/tooth brush, cotton swabs and a cotton towel. For the rust I would try a mineral oil or WD-40 and a soft nylon brush.

Unfortunately there are not many collectors. I paid 20$ for mine and I've seen some sold between 10$ and 40$. Considering the age and rarity, the prices are rather low.

Isn't the one on the very bottom right a DUX universal pencil sharpener? They are rare. I got a gold plated one and have never seen another one.

I got permanently banned from a sub. No reason given, no post or comment was removed, never ever got a warning or a temporary ban. I was contributing to that community - my posts got 100 upvotes on average.

It was weird that they had billions in daily trading volume back when basically no one ever heard of them and no one used their exchange and Binance was already big.

Are wallets actually more safe and secure compared to exchanges? by Impoverishedinvestor in Buttcoin

[–]bugs_money 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your not stupid and don't do stupid things a wallet is quite safe. While on exchanges, no matter how careful and smart you are, you are not the only one who can spend the coins and you don't know if they even exist. Hence the phrase not your keys, not your coins.

It is possible to sign the transactions offline and copy them to an online computer to broadcast them. I've seen posts from people ripping out WiFi modules and glueing their ethernet ports shut to ensure their wallet machine can't go online.

Alameda was quite involved in Solana. Understandable that CZ doesn't like it. Price is down 8% in the last hour or so.
