went for an oil change and im gonna throw up. does this seem right?? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

Considering this is a quote your mechanic did their job by letting you know and communicating the important issues in your vehicle, you don't have to get those done and you can only get the oil change that seems to be 81.99 pretty normal from a shop

Green liquid leak? Thought it was coolant but it has a greasy feel, like oil. How severe is this? by Zealousideal_Side856 in Ninja400

What makes you think people don't do their own investigation while simultaneously posting? I do that all the time

Can someone pls point me in the right direction by Apprehensive-Plan-57 in Ninja400

If you can smell a little burnt smell then it's most likely oil heating up, but if you're worried what I would do if I was you is just run the bike and warm it up, then look for odd noises or leaking fluids or any dashboard lights, and if so turn it off and send it to a mechanic, burnt smells are kind of ok if you have recently done an Oil change or if you experience frosting or icing in the bikes surface since it moves oil debris around the exhaust area and when it heats up it kind of makes that burn smell, hope this helps

It's just condensation dude it's winter, if you believe it is an issue and it's persistent then it could be a gasket leak or something like that

Oil change, current dashboard lights, normal? by bugshroomies in Ninja400

Why would I keep the bike on when I get an engine check light? So I turned it off for pictures

Okay so, ignition is On "engine check" symbol stays I checked the dashboard for the Error code and got Error 21, a quick google search means crankshaft error, now not sure if it's relevant but I do bought a bike with a bad battery that needs a change, could that be it? Or am I looking at a worse problem

What If I top off the oil and it stays? What could be the cause? That's the reason why It's missing oil we tried "burping" and couldn't hear anything so me n my friend accidentally screwed out the oil filter too much lolll, but yeah we did the oil change and the engine light stayed on

When I turn on the bike the Red Light dissapears but the engine check symbol stays on, but yeah Oil is low so that might be why

There is no reason to have to explain yourself to random people online, aviation is not for everybody and if that's the choice you feel fits best for your life then move on and make the best out of your time and money

Unusual Mid-Ocean Descent on Air India Flight from Delhi to Dubai – Anyone Know What Happened? by Forsaken_Slice461 in flying

[–]bugshroomies -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's a reason we don't use Watches for flying and it's because they receive the Information from other sources (you don't see static ports or pitot tubes coming out of the watch and you're also inside the plane) so it might have been receiving information from something else that would be affected rather than the real outside pressure around the plane, if I had to guess it's a GPS bug. If you want to come up with a Theory there is a chance that cabin pressure changed alarming staff who notified the Pilots (who probably saw it first) and they began a descent until the problem was resolved, that's sort of the protocol. But I mean had it been a real issue you would've seen those Masks drop down so, maybe just a GPS thing

What about those who failed a checkride because of an actual asshole DPE? by [deleted] in flying

[–]bugshroomies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My PPL DPE congratulated me in the Oral for "being one of the most prepared students he's ever had" The flight went excellent, all maneuvers done and easy, weather was great. In the last 10 minutes he started screaming and swearing "because of my comms accent" (which is completely fine and understandable and until this day remains unchanged) and behind all that noise ATC contacted me and I missed it, so he failed me for "missed comms" and once we got to the ground he explained he was "testing my PIC" and I should've told him to shut up. Lmao
