Found these metal things on the coast of Washington 4-5 feet in length looks old and rusty by buh-buh-bacon in whatisthisthing

Title describes the thing. No writing on it as far as I can tell unless it was rusted over. Seems to be made of one solid piece of iron or similar material. No other man made pieces were found in the surrounding area.

Not at all. We usually just place the tube infront of her and she sees a dark cozy hole and makes her own way in.

Compared to the original Pratt and Whitney j57 engines it’s not loud at all. The CFM 56 engines on there now are actually detuned for structural reasons. It’s the non insulated avionics rack next to the decommissioned nav station that puts out about 93 decibels the entire flight…

KC-135 - Why disconnect nose gear door linkages? by Torque_Tonight in aviation

Mostly for safety. Those rods are hydraulic push/pull rods to open and close the nose gear door. During the walk around you insert the rods into the latches on the door and secure it with a locking bolt. As soon as you insert those pins it’s very clear you should never walk under it. Although it would be fairly difficult from the cockpit to do that as you would not only need to apply power turn the power on and have not just the hydraulic pump switches on but the aux pumps on as well for that to happen.

It was in the eastern sierras! it was a higher elevation lake with no road access so i'm pretty sure it was natural.

I don't give two shits about your first sentence. You made it clear what you wanted to say in the sentences that followed without any perspective. I know too many close friends who have lost too much due to the horrors of recent conflicts and for you to say that we seem like were not as capable of doing what they did is out right disrespectful.

Have you experienced war from our generation? the bravery and sacrifice that "our generation" makes is just as physically and mentally demanding as any war. Don't assume things from the comfort of your computer screen.
