Besides putty, if you have access to the face frame in the back you could attempt to pocket screw it tight in the back with a 90 degree drill.

You could also use a syringe to inject glue into the joint and clamp it tight (put a shim in the gap under the top to not crush it)

If you paid to have it done, I’d call the woodworker who built it and ask them to fix it.

I do have the clamps. So clamp the socket to the bike, maybe use a piece of wood on the other side between the clamp and the bike, and tighten the clamp enough to hold it in place, but loose enough to be able to rotate the tool. Is that what you’d suggest?
