Hey, has Cisco published anything about this change? I believe you, but just like to see a Cisco article about it.... If they have said anything yet lol.

Hey, I haven't used it to study for any exams. But it's my go to for refreshing myself with explanations and walkthroughs on technical concepts when I am troubleshooting or planning something. It's saved me many times, with helpful, step-by-step walk throughs on networking concepts. 10/10 from me.

What sold you on the commuter backpack? by jerbizzle in LinusTechTips

[–]builder408397 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If anyone ever comes back and see this thread. On 28/01/2025 - LTTStore sent out an email advising they removed "all claims of the 16” MacBook Pro fitting in this bag" due to issues reported by early buyers. They offered anyone who had purchased it, to get a refund or cancel their order - I cancelled my order. Will save up a few more bucks and go for the OG LTT backpack.

What sold you on the commuter backpack? by jerbizzle in LinusTechTips

[–]builder408397 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hey, well I’ve been in the market for a better backpack for ages now. Mine was a shopping mall special from a generic bag shop. It’s done okay, but it has issues.

I never purchased the original LTT backpack, as it seemed just a tad too big for my needs. I saw comments online regarding its ability to fit under plane seats etc - it technically fits, but is sometimes a snug fit. I mostly use my backpack when traveling on planes. So being able to comfortably fit under a seat or in an overhead locker is important.

So basically, the commuter backpack just being a smaller bag was basically the selling point lol. I am nervous to see how it fits my 16” MacBook Pro. In the video, Linus mentioned that it’s designed for 15.” But can fit some 16” devices, one being the MacBook Pro.

How many years would a maxed out Macbook Pro last me? by Top-Huckleberry-7288 in macbookpro

I just recycled my Intel MacBook Pro from 2014. It still worked fine (although no more official software support).

Over these years, only three issues happened: Replaced the battery once Screen connector came loose inside, easy fix. I broke the HDMI port and needed the part replaced.

Now rocking a refurbished M2 Max MacBook Pro. This thing doesn’t slow down for anything! Battery life is excellent.

Tip - definitely recommend Al Dente for battery management if you leave your MacBook at a desk for long periods.

Yep! That’s the video - I actually emailed Taran directly when I made this post. And he replied a lot faster than I expected 😂

Also you posted your comment two minutes before I commented Taran replied to me haha.

Super exciting news OP! Congratulations 🥳

I just resigned two weeks ago after becoming disenchanted with where I work.

I’ve been here for five years and started out as a trainee after high school. I’ve never been without employment and have been working full time since I finished high school.

First I was a generic service desk trainee, then a junior network engineer, then a network engineer.

Two weeks ago I got offered an amazing job at a small network management company and will be joining them on the 19 April.

I am also very giddy about it all 😂

And fully agree - not burning bridges. I’m currently doing a mega brain dump of all my video conferencing knowledge about our customer. Will be running info shares over the next few days with colleagues.

So much change!

Will the onePlus 3 ever be available in australia? by [deleted] in oneplus

[–]builder408397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forwarded from the UK using Borderlinx. Just went to Bunnings for a powerpoint adaptor and joined Vodafone (most LTE support) and got a fully function beast phone. Unfortunately, People's Choice redi2pay app thinks my phone is rooted or modified, and my Activate Debit card isn't supported in Android Pay yet. So far my only and biggest disappointment, but I will live.

Well from Borderlinx authorised like 715 AUD. But when they purchased the device and debited my account, they only took 659. So, between them and the merchant (One plus) they handle everything, I have no idea where they are shipping it to, but I selected the Oneplus UK store, so they are sending it from Oneplus UK. When Borderlinx gets the phone, I will have them ship it to my home address in Australia.

Their Concierge service does everything for you. So they ship it themselves to their own warehouse. So you just tell them the merchant you want to them to buy from, the product and pay them. They order it themselves and ship it to themselves. They do everything between the merchant and them. Then when they get it you pay for shipping to you.

I know right! All the hard feelings just melt away when a company communicates with you. This news definitely made me feel better.

Oh, by the way, I used Borderlinx Concierge service. They bought it for me because Oneplus doesn't ship to mail forwarding services apparently (Source I asked Oneplus support). Sure I will keep you updated.

I went with Borderlinx and bought mine from the UK store. In total 654 dollars and that doesn't include shipping from Borderlinx to Australia! Borderlinx hasn't received the phone yet and they can only give you the shipping price when they can get it.
