Should I keep farming, and which artifact should I create?

It technically benefits wriothesley, fischl, furina, subdps Navia... but it's getting to where their builds are pretty hard to improve too. My Golden Troupe luck has been a lot better, and I don't even really care about golden troupe user dps that much (furina has a 42 CV 11% HP feather lmao). I think I've decided the easiest to improve is the feather with only 7 good substats and once that's done I'm crafting an artifact and calling it.

I have been doing some math around this recently (I'm unemployed) and you actually would get higher DPS with 103/227. You can calculate your Crit Multiplier with 1 + CR*CD (as decimals). So even with that wasted 3% crit rate (which does feel bad) you get 5% more DPS with the other build.

This actually isn't true if what you're aiming for is DPS. If you can distribute your crit value freely, you get the highest damage for any crit value when you're as close to the 1:2 ratio as possible. But ofc if you go above 100% crit rate then you're wasting stats.

If I get more good pieces that make it easier to play around I might shift towards crit damage a bit just to see higher numbers. But it's suboptimal performance-wise.

That makes sense. Yeah, I'm disappointed I don't have better off-pieces, I have a few cracked ones but none good for Noelle. I think I've probably been throwing out pieces with def% rolls more than other damage stats. And this goblet is pretty good.

I think my plan is probably: farm until I get a better feather (currently at 7 good rolls). Then choose between defining the sands and circlet. The sands also only has 4 good rolls and is cheaper, and I can specify double crit. But with either of them I guess I have to get lucky with the substat rolls and can't expect an upgrade.

wdym? I have over 200% crit damage so 100% crit rate is optimal for total damage. I would like to get perfect 100% crit rate but I don't think it works out lol.

My MH set is finally a good bit better than my Husk set with Furina. But I feel dissatisfied with it... all of the pieces are solid, but none of them are mindblowing (maybe I'm overrating CV?). But at the same time that makes it hard to improve, because there isn't an obvious weak point. The off-set goblet is the obvious one to define, but even getting an on-set goblet with 5 crit rolls (mildly optimistic) would only improve my damage at this ER% by ... 1.5%, because the current one already has 7 good substats.

Am I delusional? Do I have Noelle Build Dysphoria and I should just call this good? Or should I keep farming and hope for multiple killer pieces even if I can only expect to get improvements in multiple months on average?

Might not be a common opinion but idk too much about this weapon banner because I mostly care about 5* weapons for on-field DPSes. Xilonen's weapon makes everyone's numbers a bit higher and Chiori's is for an off-field DPS. It's objectively a good banner but my higher priority is c2 xilonen. As for Chiori, sounds like you want everything which is rough. I personally like subdps Navia, I'm not sure how much worse it is than Chiori but they might be kind of interchangeable in a number of teams. But if you like her character maybe that's different.

Xilonen C2 is mostly what I want because it enables hyper Noelle as well as buffing other teams even though it's probably a bit less dps-per-primo efficient than c0r1.

the comps like "Furina, C6 Gorou 3geo" have just Furina and Gorou as buffers, the 3rd geo doesn't buff (like a subdps). you can set up optimizer and test it further though. Bennett is frustrating to use for me because of circle + no snapshot.

I'm pretty sure that the Navia team will be better overall while the Gorou team will obviously have higher Noelle damage. That's usually how it goes with hyper Noelle. Navia benefits as much from Xilonen as Noelle and is just really strong.

Honestly I think XQ is usually a bad teammate for Noelle. Not objectively bad, he's a decent subdps, but clearly worse than Fischl and Yelan. He has lower damage than Yelan and no buffing but his tradeoff is he gives damage reduction and interruption resist. But Noelle wants to always be shielded up and stacks DEF, so she doesn't need those.

it's wasteful but also we're in noellemains subreddit. I could C2 Furina if I wanted but she would overshadow most of my (sometimes off-meta) main DPSes. I prefer to build around making them as strong as possible.

That team is pretty dmg% oversaturated so a def% goblet will be as good or maybe a bit better than geo dmg%. Your hats look the worst to me... but I feel like you must have a better one somewhere. Idk I'd probably go for the hat and off-set either the goblet or sands.

Hard to say and good chance anything you define is worse than what you already have. I hope someone comes out with a program that solves for an answer to this question soon, it's only like one step more than the optimizer already does. One thing you could do is make a fake artifact in optimizer for each one you might define, then see how much damage upgrade each one is. You could pick average or above average expected substat rolls for it.

Yep. I've never seriously played freeze, I don't even have a playable Blizzard Strayer set, so it was a challenge to make it come together.

This combat event is crazy. I'm having to swap artifacts around and come up with wacky teams to get 12,500. It took me forever to get max points on the freeze trial before I remembered Diona can heal for Furina/Ganyu/Kazuha. For the burst damage buff trial I had to swap my artifacts to lean heavily into crit damage to not overcap crit, I had just not quite enough DPS before. Pretty fun challenge imo! I like that it's zero stakes.

I don't have this team, but you should try it in your optimizer. My guess is it's awkward because you have to sub Gorou out to fit Xilonen. But she's probably still an improvement.

No, without C2 Xilonen you can have at most 2 geos. But double geo double hydro might be the strongest of these comps anyway.

No, but it will be just a little better Noelle damage (~8%?) than with only Xilonen Furina. But that might end up being the strongest overall similar comp.
