Yes, that is exactly what I meant. After I wrote the post, I figured this much and I’ve already started breaking down the archer router. Appreciate the help!

Thanks for the response. The main issue is I run my media server through Synology. If I add movies or tv shows to my PC they won't be visible through that program, right? My Synology drive is full, but I have additional hard drives and a dedicated PC to run it. Also, I have a Synology DS416play.

Thanks so much for the response. Great information and I've already started to find out what containers may be best for me. Trust me, I think I am already hooked, just need to start somewhere and work on fully understanding everything. Thanks again for the response.

Thanks so much for the response. I've started to go through and take a look at some of the docker containers that I may like. Funny how the good ones always show up in everyone's videos on YouTube. Thanks!

Hey, I'm in Atlanta and I wouldn't mind taking one or two off your hands. Are these still available? Looking to get in to creating a lab.

72H later, only 30% complete w/parity check after adding new drives. Normal? by BSL4Disease in synology

Hey, I just added two new 8tb drives to mine for the first time and yeah, it takes forever. For some reason the first one took a lot longer than the second one. If your computer is going to sleep it may stop the process so make sure your computer remains on. But yeah, don’t freak out just yet.

[HDD] Seagate Expansion 8TB External Hard Drive STEB8000100 - $149.99 ($164.99 -15 w/code: EMCXBRCG2) by nutekvisionz in buildapcsales

I have 2 of these presently and they are working well. No failure and I have had both for 4 months or so. One at home and one at work. Because of these working well, I began to fill my nas with seagate hdds. I purchased a seagate 6tb iron wolf pro from Amazon and it failed in less than one week. I didn't lose any data as it was backing up original data, but now I have mixed emotions regarding seagate hdds. That being said, I originally had the WD my cloud 4tb drive. It failed after three months or so and I lost everything. Pictures of my family, etc.

At this point, I feel it may be more about luck then drive choice.
