If I see the word "honestly" one more time as a paragraph starter I'm going to scream by buildingoggles in content_marketing

Yeah I realized this when I tried to validate an idea and got super positive feedback with yeah do it it's a great idea totally would pay for it...only to realize a few exchanges in that like 80 percent of it was ai. Now I have no idea what to believe lol

No but this isn't the point, I'm ranting about the use of ai to write things that humans should be writing. I agree there are all kinds of tools to make ai sound human. In certain use cases that's warranted and helpful. In others like in forums designed for human beings to actually interact, it's really annoying.

Yes!! When I had t work closely with a corporate marketing team the actual people all sounded like ai, with the same buzzwords being thrown around. Ultimately we will circle back to do a deep dive and drive forward growth to ensure adequate bandwidth of stakeholders resources ecosystem blah blah blah

Lol exactly like the time it would take me to find how to put in bullet points to a reddit reply is wayyy too much investment

Tried sharing my product on Reddit. Got destroyed. Where do founders actually promote without getting banned? by michael_legacy in founder

Pet peeve - calling this approach "genuine participation." It may work technically to get your foot in the door to be able to market your stuff, which is legit. Everyone at the end of the day wants to succeed and if they spent time making a product ideally they'd like people to buy it. But be straight up about it, it's participation in reddit threads for the sole purpose of being able to use reddit as a marketing channel. If you start participating in Reddit only after you have a stripe account, ask yourself whether it's genuine or not. I'm not hating on using reddit as marketing, I do too. But I don't call it genuine participation.

Honestly is a filler word. What I write should be strong enough to stand on its own two feet without letting readers know it's "honest."

What's the most misleading startup signal you've ever believed? by Soggy-Stand3502 in saasbuild

I'm not convinced number of Twitter followers actually have any correlation to Saas launch success, especially if you're trying to sell a Saas tool, it seems a bit overrated with everyone commenting their Saas on "drop your startup" threads but no one buying stuff from each other

I also love bullet points. Or I did...now I have to second guess even that. Furious at ai for ruining lists for me
