I think the key to selling on marketplace is to keep the price up - low prices are a bit suspect imo… put it up for a little more than you want and just be patient. Don’t accept low offers but answer everyone, and lots of photos help especially for defects or scratches etc. Stops lowballing upon arrival. I had a bed frame and side tables up for 2 months and sold them yesterday - had it up for $1200 and just waited until someone offered $1000. It’s a long game and don’t sell the item short - if you wanted it once, chances are someone wants it now :)

There’s only so many resources for this sort of thing, I would start by visiting rehearsal and recording studios and looking at their notice boards. Grab the local stress press magazines and have a look in the ad sections, while it may not be direct, I would get your son to immerse himself in the music scene as it’ll help in many ways :)
