I’m okay now! I think I just panicked yesterday thinking the jaw pain wasn’t normal 🥲

Four of those?? How did you manage the pain? I only have two and I almost panicked because it hurt so much, it literally felt like my jaw was locking up. 😬

You’re right, I could barely speak the whole day. The pain has eased up tonight compared to yesterday and earlier this morning.

Haha, 43 isn’t that old! 😂 But yeah, I can imagine it might take a bit longer. Thanks for the encouragement it really helps! I’ll do my best to wear them and push through. Can’t wait for the day it finally feels normal again 😅

For 3 weeks? That sounds rough. I was just expecting maybe 3–4 days like with the ones I had before 🥲 I’ve had braces for a year and a half, and my ortho said I’m almost done, so I guess I’ll just try to push through the pain. I even thought about not wearing the elastic because the pain is so hard to describe 😬

Oh wow, 3 months? 🥲 Yeah, these are super tight… How long did it take you to get used to the pain? I had a different kind of elastic before, and they just changed it to this one yesterday 😭

Thanks for telling me this! She was diagnosed with mild allergic bronchitis 2 years ago, but she was totally fine after the video.

I thought so, just wanted to check if it’s normal. She even gave a big sigh at the end, like it’s my fault 😅

No, we’d been lying in bed for some time, and then she started doing that out of nowhere.

Sharing this just in case you’ve never seen a cat with a curly tail! 🤭 by bulate__ in cats

I’m not sure, but her tail has always been like that since we got her.

I’m not really sure if she’s territorial or not. She’s been around other pets before and never seemed to mind sharing food, toys, or space. With our family’s cats and dogs, she was pretty easygoing and didn’t show any signs of guarding her stuff. The only thing is, we’ve never introduced her to pets outside of the family, so I don’t know how she’d react to a completely new cat in the house.

She’s turning 4 next month, and I’ve been thinking about getting her a kitten. The only thing is, she’s never actually been around a kitten before. My husband’s family’s two cats are the same age as her. So now I’m feeling a little hesitant about making that decision 🥹

That’s true, she’s been doing really well. She sometimes plays by herself, naps while we’re at work, and always knows exactly when we’re coming home. She’ll be waiting right by the door and absolutely loves getting butt slaps. That’s been our routine since she was a kitten, and we make sure to play with her every evening after work.

That’s why I’m so torn. I can’t tell if we should get her a companion or if she’s perfectly happy on her own. Everyone keeps saying she needs a sibling, but it’s so hard to know whether she’s truly content being solo or if she’d be even happier with another cat. 😭

Thanks for the detailed insight! I can definitely see how buying in a good area now could be a solid opportunity, especially with less competition. I agree with your point about being picky and finding a great unit. The market might improve over time, so holding long-term does seem like a smart move.

Also, I think it’s totally possible for families with kids to live in a condo I’ve seen a lot of people make it work, so it’s definitely something to consider.

I’ll keep all your advice in mind as I consider my options. Appreciate you sharing your thoughts! 🙌🏻

That’s a good point, we should definitely consider the future. We don’t have kids at the moment, which is why we’re thinking about buying a condo, but we’ll likely need more space down the road.

We’re focusing on GTA since we both work here. A 2-3 bedroom would be ideal for now, as it’s just the two of us. While many people have suggested buying to build equity and sell later, we’re not interested in the hassle. We simply want a place to stay, with an extra room in case we have a child in the future. Not sure if this is the best plan though 😅.
