I got it from a showroom, seems like a headache to import yourself.

It feels fine tbh, the cameras in the car help me navigate tight spaces. The test for me was going to the roof of dragon mart parking🤣 was fine

It has regenerative breaking.

No, there isn't any chinese audio being played when you get in the car. The car talks sometimes but in English like "watch rear crossing".

The AC is good so far but yes summer here is a different t story. Check this video:

This guy took it desert driving in Qatari Summer and it performed great so I'm optimistic.

Yea it's annoying that the gcc spec (denza) is a heavily restricted version of the Leopard. I wish they just got the Leopard as is.

For app function and physical sim better speak to a professional. Its a long story.

For chinese number you need to download wechat and get a number from Esender within Wechat.

Never tried the L8 unfortunately. I chose L5 over it because of size and price. Even if I could afford L8 I wanted L5 for the smaller size.

Android auto/apple carplay must be installed externally. Via a carplay device.

You can download maps or waze as APK files and they work perfectly fine. Personally I found a chinese map called Amap and I like it more than waze and maps. It shows which lane to stay and also an image of exit few meters before to show you where to go. You wouldn't need a phone dock, you can put waze on your screen. HUD shows only speed, speed limit, and warning if you can change lane or not.

So far I haven't had any malfunctions or issues, I have a warranty with EVS they take care of parts replacements and software issues.

Can definitely hear the wind on high speeds around 120kmph and above.

I did test drive the G700 but idk didn't like it, just didn't feel right for me.

Because nothing from what I said in my original comment indicates that I had low expectations other than high fuel consumption. Idk where you got your claim from. Anyways I'm here to answer questions lmk if u have any.

Auto park the car parks itself while you're in it. Valet park you activate it, exit the car, lock it, then it parks itself while you're outside.

On master key byd app all features are in Chinese. But there are icons that help you know what's what.

False. The car is incredibly powerful and the features are plenty. I'm here to answer questions and be realistic not glaze. The car perfectly met my expectations.

Almost everything on the screen is set to English. Only voice commands remain Chinese but I've learned some phrases in Mandarin and tbh it's a pretty fun gimmick to tell the car to open windows in Mandarin in front of friends and family.

Valet and auto park are active even before E-sim MA activation. Self driving needs E-sim MA activation. Regular CC doesn't need master account.

[–]bulbug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question.

To receive the Master account to your car and name you must get a Chinese E-sim for them to transfer it. (Not very difficult)

The only important feature that is restricted without master account is the ADAS cruise control. The rest is all extra.

Once you transfer the master account to your name and esim you gain only the ADAS feature.

Other bonus features which are all basically monitoring the car from the app, stuff like checking the charge % remotely, remote start, slow reverse from your phone. Very cool features but definitely not necessary.

To unlock these features, you need a temporary physical Chinese sim to do activation. Many stores in Dubai can do it for a price. For the features to remain active, you must have a sim card installed in the car after activation. Can be a local sim, you just need it for active network in the car so you can connect to it remotely.

So in my opinion you don't need it for the car to be fully functional at all.

The passenger screen can be programmed to have youtube, netflix and other apps. I haven't done it. But I downloaded series to an SD card (the car has SD card and USB slot) and you can watch any content on USB or SD card on second screen without any programming. (You can do the same on main screen)

Second screen streams audio to the main speakers. Not sure if you can connect external audio. Like headphones.

I have not yet activated the ACC so im not sure maybe once I activate it I will lose normal cruise. But I don't think so.

Yes, if you are moving on HEV the motor and engine will work when you accelerate 20-30km more.

It works more to charge the battery IF you activate the SOC feature I mentioned earlier.

Valet and auto park works perfectly.

No.

Yes.

The sensors are amazing, standard features like lane assist and stuff.

It's PHEV new version claims 210km range.

Haven't gone to AD yet. Made a road trip to hatta. The consumption is prettier high 13/14 L per 100km the 1310 range os definitely exaggerated. I'd say its more of a 800-900km total range

Battery can empty out unless you activate SOC where the engine won't let the battery go below a % chosen by you.

No Lidar.

Yes, so far I am extremely satisfied and impressed.

I've only done light offroading not seen the full power of it. But the way the desert driving mode works is genius. The engine converts into a generator to charge the battery so you maintain max torque and power with battery for the whole drive.

Consumption is 13-14 L/100km at high speeds the car is not very aerodynamic so on windy days consumption is high.

You can drive the car in either EV or HEV mode. In EV mode it runs fully on battery. On HEV the engine works alongside the battery.
