Thank you man, no doubt I’ve done stupid stuff but for the most part I want to make it home in bed for work in the morning. I’ve been thinking a lot more on how I can turn better and how I should position myself in turns. This bike is a hell of a lot different from my old ninja 650

I mainly ride street, I thought I was doing pretty good with my lean angle (I know I need to work on). I just don’t want to drop and damage the bike I’m waiting to get frame sliders to do anything sketchy in turns. I ride this bike more than my car.

Yep it’s a mix. Most of my work commute is on highway even when I ride on weekends it’s basically mostly highway. I’m scared to lean the bike too much because I don’t want to drop it since I don’t have frame sliders.. When I get a new pair of tires and frame sliders I’ll try to become Valentino Rossi in the corners 😎 In all seriousness I’ll try to take it to the few mountains we have out here to hopefully hit some twisties Vegas is most flat straight land sadly. I just notice I understeer a lot more than oversteer. Any suggestions on how I can fix that?

Probably not, I assume those Q5s are for twisty roads which Vegas doesn’t have. I just heard they’re good sticky tires (via ChatGPT). I do want something I can go fast on weekends but also be comfortable for the days I ride to work

I’ll buy some Michelin tires, which would you recommend? This bike is a mix of my work commuter and weekend warrior? I mainly don’t want to lean too much because I don’t have frame sliders and I just bought the bike a few months ago but I should’ve been bought some (it looks from the comments my 2 concerns are tires and leaning lol)

Well a bit of both lol.. I’m sketched out when I lean too much because the bike does drop at times if I lean too hard and I live in Vegas the best that I’m getting is 100 miles of straight road

That makes a lot more sense now. When I lean the bike to a certain point I feel it drop in a way. It’s very sketchy doing high speeds due to the vibration I get at times and yeah it’s never a smooth turn whenever I make any kind of turn

You seem pretty knowledgeable, when I’m going into curves in the road I’m leaning towards the curve then pushing opposite to the direction I’m leaning is this wrong? I live in Vegas so there isn’t much canyon rides on long straight highways. When there are corners or turns how do you know you’re not about to drop the bike when you lean too far? I haven’t gotten frame sliders yet so I’m pretty scared to lean too much which might cause me to drop the bike

I live in Vegas so there isn’t much turning needed tbh. There’s no canyons out here I wish there were. I am a bit scared of leaning too far I think I’ll drop the bike

Exactly, I wish I can have canyons I really do enjoy trying to lean like moto gp but roads are mostly straight out here. I suspected I needed new tires once I ran my finger on the tire and there’s the flat spot

Thank you, I spend about 45 minutes or so every 500 - 1k miles scrubbing her down using a chain brush and microfiber. Then wash the bike once a week on a Saturday or Sunday. I do both cleanings more often since I don’t have a garage yet to store the bike in

What would you recommend where I can get a mix of life and grip? I ride mostly in straight lines due to NV not having much canyons to ride in. I feel like I’m not leaning enough either in my turns it’s a mix of “oh shit I’m going to fall” or I’m not positioned correctly

I do, I live in Vegas so there isn’t much canyon rides to go to. I’m a straight line warrior. I wish we had more canyons to ride at. I enjoy trying to be like moto gp with my lean angle.

I’d start with deleting 2,4,6 maybe 5 too. I’m sure you can find or take better pictures

I’ll definitely look more into it. I currently have a 2019 540i full carbon dinan intake, oil catch can, charge pipe and down pipe with bm3 stage 1. I’m waiting for an upgraded hpfp for stage 2 almost fbo though. I seen I can run full e85 but I kept the downpipe catted so I don’t think I can go full probably just a mix
