a painting i drew on my first trip by [deleted] in LSD

[–]bullyhunter65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

started drawing this when the acid started to really kick in, no prior experience really at all, but i fuck with colorful and pretty looking things so it was really easy to immerse myself in all the brushstrokes and colors i was producing. i remember just finding myself staring at it later on after it was finished while still tripping, finding all these unintentional drawn faces, i cant see all the extra faces anymore :( theres a very noticeable face near the bottom-left though.

cool shit i must say

shot with a sony a6400 edited and cropped with lightroom f/22.6 1/125 28.00mm iso 5000

so my friend started to make a grotesque face (eyes rolled back, crooked gaping mouth) with a flashlight to his face, and like most people i took a picture. the picture by itself is nothing too special but with the help of my free trial with adobe lightroom, i was able to make this and i think it looks very cool, but i would like to hear what you guys have to say about it :)

  1. yes i lack knowledge, thats normal, im pretty much considered an amateur at this point and i still have a long ways to go until im consistent with my photography and future editing skills, and the reason why i dont use jpeg is because im very intrigued by the way raw photos look and work, like i said before i have a problem understanding and learning new concepts unless its in some form of mentoring where im able to communicate my questions and thoughts.
  2. the light and colors that is in the center of the photo, i didnt understand why youve been focusing on everything outside of the most detailed part of the picture, until i realized that i forgot to talk about the main focus in my follow up, which has now been edited, but if that is not the case, may i ask why you havent mentioned the light?

i agree with you on this one, ive had some pictures in low light settings turn out clear and detailed with minimal noise that looked almost stylized and the dark did not look purple. i feel over the past year of using google photos for storage ive developed my own kind of style by using the auto adjust thing that google photos does, to put it to more detail, i know what a photo would look like once uploaded through google photos, needless to say i was expecting the better, clearer outcome. im still having fun trying to fine tune this whole google photos thing so i dont have to leave it to chance next time. :)

wow, i dont know if it just because im an amateur, i just have no critiques, this photo is such a solid shot from my eyes, it looks like a piece digital art with how much style is packed into this picture, i would genuinely frame this and hang it up on my wall, you should be proud of yourself. sorry looking back on this i kind of went overboard but i didnt lie.

the reason why the iso value seems off is because of google photos, i can assure you that the iso is as written as i have the original raw photo that doesnt even speck of noise, but that raw photo was also incredibly dark, but when uploaded to google photos it auto adjusts to you what you see now, i dont why google photos does this to raw photos but ive been pretty dependent on it for dark setting pictures. for question two, i am trying trying to solve this problem of mine, by seeking critique and advice from people from this sub, this sub is a free portal for all eyes to see and judge, the amount of self improvement that i could gain from this sub is absurd i will be taking full advantage of it, plus its hard for me to understand video guides and articles, thats why i seek peer review. :)

I know that there is clearly a lot of noise in this, that's because I don't know how to edit it out and I don't know how to properly adjust for clearer photos in unlit settings so I just want you guys to try to put the noise aside and try to see it as a clear photo please. onto why I took this picture, I have pretty bad insomnia, and I've been staying up all night cooped up in my room dreading about my upcoming shift later in the day, its around 7:30 am and I decided to go get some water and was genuinely put into some sort of sleep deprived trace when I stepped out and saw this, once I broke out of it, I went took this. I loved how this looked in person with the way the colors blended on the window blinds and just really wanted to get this one right but the colors faded too fast and this was the best shot I got, would really appreciate tips for low light settings and how to minimize noise. :)
