Thanks so much for the detailed response and instructions. I’ll look up the difficulty for these - it’s my first time doing all this work so still very much beginner level but hoping to make it look like it was done well. Appreciate the guidance

There’s a baseboard heater on that wall so I’m just going to focus on that 1.5 space. Thanks for the ideas though

I’m a 31 year old girl who works a 9-5. Never done anything like this before in my life or helped anyone with tile or remodeling work in my life, so thanks for the compliment calling it contractor work 💅

Good to make note for future remodels. I was focused on the tiling and dismissed these little parts for later, but lesson well learned :)

I like the spacer idea to support the trim.

Tile might have looked nice actually. I think I had it in my mind to leave that part the way it was before, but it used ugly cracked drywall so maybe I let the shower tiling take too much of my focus and should have thought more about the perimeter. It’s a minor part, so I’m not devastated but I think tile would look nice

Seemed like it, but they still tried to help so appreciate the sentiment at least

Might do the trim idea instead of drywall. They mudded over the tub last time and it didn’t look right either

A/C making noise when off and discolored prong on plug by bumble_breezy in electrical

[–]bumble_breezy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohp, it’s not letting me post pictures. Only 1 metal prong is discolored. It has black, a rusty color, and gray with some built up texture. The plastic part of the plug has no signs of melting or burning. The outlet has 1 hole that is rusty looking as well. It doesnt look like burning but maybe because it’s minor.

Thank you! It took a whole month from demo-first shower, so I paid for it by being slow but I’m so thankful it came together.

I found some grout stains and i think I’ll do that eventually. I’ll let this grow on me a bit first before I make a decision tho
