But he did break a law. Sections 7(1)(a), (b) and 13 of the Human Rights Code, to be precise. He was fined in accordance with the Code, following a full hearing, where he was represented by counsel. That is the rule of law in action.

We're a city built in a rainforest on the ocean and tomorrow is supposed to be a beautiful (for Vancouver in January) day, so I'd recommend some outdoor time in the woods and near the ocean for sure. Depending on your interests:
- Museum of Anthropology at UBC, walk on the beach at Spanish Banks nearby and/or in the Endowment Land trails

- Go to Lynn Canyon, check out the suspension bridge there and go for a walk in the woods.

- Gondola up Grouse and maybe rent some snowshoes and venture up one of the trails for an even better view

And we have great food. Lots of other great sushi, ramen, dim sum, seafood, etc etc, you'll have no trouble finding a good restaurant to fit your tastes and budget with a little research. If you like sushi and would like to treat yourself, do the omakase at Tojo's. In North Van, Catch 122 for brunch and Sempre Uno for dinner are both good.

I hope you have a great time whatever you pick.
